Hi Elizabeth! I just wanted to hoot something because I'm pretty excited about our little vacation. I'm pretty sure I've never yee haw'd out loud.

I found the heart rate monitor that I 'think' I need in the Academy Sports online catalog. I'm excited about that too.

I hope you have a fun, fun, fun vacation!

There are lots of great parks around Bham---especially Oak Mountain State Park. It is so beautiful, with over 25 miles of bike trails (bikes available to rent), horses for rent, fishing, hiking, camping, etc....

There are several other nice parks in AL which may be close to where you are going. If interested check this website: http://www.alapark.com/parks/park.cfm?parkid=9

Has anyone bought a treadmill from Academy sports? I am thinking about buying one and I want to know how dependable they are from that outlet?

My friend has a recumbant bike from there. They are very happy with it. I think you just have to be aware of the brands and chose a good one.
