Default I'm gonna run 10 thousand meters...

...and then I'm gonna run 10 thousand more.

I have finally figured out a way to get myself to excersize... train for a 10k race! It's exactly 4 months from today. yAy!
The thing is, I am a non-excersizer at the moment, nope don't even use the treadmill sitting in the tv room . But just the thought of finishing a TEN K race gets me so excited! I can't even run 5 min continuously at the moment. But don't worry I'm doing a guided-group 13 week program starting in january, and I'm gonna start walking/running in a couple days by myself.. This is so cool! Has anyone here done one before? Any tips/stories?

That's awesome that you've decided to start running.

10 years ago I joined a clinic to learn how to run 10k. I couldn't run for 3 minutes without feeling terrible. But with some hard work, and practice I got through it. Today, I have ran countless half marathons, a few marathons and a few triathlons. I'm addicted. Running is a big part of my life.

Good luck with your running!! I'm so excited for you.

That is great!

I come from a family of total NON runners, and thus never ran even 100m in my life!
I have just started in on it!
On Christmas day i went for a run! i ran 2 lots of about 1.5k and walked 5 km between
I hope to be able to run at least 7km by easter!
Maybe we could keep track of how we are doing together!
I am told to start with running for 1min then walk 1 min, and build up on that??
