Question How do you store your stability ball?

I have a stability ball and I love it. I use it most nights, but I can't figure out what to do with it when I'm done. Currently, it resides in my favorite rocking chair when not in use. I'm not about to deflate it every night, because it was pain to inflate it in the first place. I considered one of those toy hammocks you attach to the walls in the corner of a room, but since I'm in an apartment, I'm not sure how that would go over with my landlord. I could use it as a computer chair for our lesser used computer, but DH expressed veto rights on that idea.

Before I declare dictatorship over computer seating, has anyone else had any clever ideas on how to deal with this unruly piece of exercise equipment?

I don't have a ball, but the first thing that comes to mind is on the floor of a closet, because there is always space between the clothing and the floor, on top of the shoes...

Store it in a bathtub (with the curtains closed)?

Not really sure what to tell you mine sort of sits in the corner of the basement so it's really not in the way. Maybe a closet?

Mine's in the corner of my bedroom, holding up a stack of laundry. By the look of the dust on the sides, it's been working real hard at it for a long time

Though using it as a computer chair really is a good idea, if it's the right height. I have a Gaaim ball chair that I love, though the wheels are really not necessary. Hey, get a few more balls and they'd make great impromptu seating for dinner guests!

I also live in an apartment- a 1 bedroom one, so the bathtub is a great idea to keep it out of the way.

In the corner of the bedroom, jammed between a bedside cabinet and the wall!

If you have it downstairs you could use it as a chair whilst watching TV! You get a good core workout just by sitting on it, especially if you remember to correct your posture all the time!

WARNING: start off with no more than half an hour - it feels easy and can catch you by suprise if your core muscles are weak!

An animal net is a cute idea. Could you use suction cups with hooks instead of putting fasteners into the wall? The ball is pretty light...

Thanks for the ideas, everybody! The bathtub may be the way to go for the time being. My walls are too rough for suction cups, but I've been re-reading my lease lately, and if I can find screw hooks small enough, the net might work, as long as it can support the weight. Hubby's still mulling over the computer chair idea. I'm slowly getting my home in order with the Flylady, so maybe someday I can use my closet for it.
