Day two - so far
I am already at 1350 calories and no dinner yet. I am thinking about just having a salad for dinner so I stay within my calories range. I didn't exercise formally today, but spent the majority of the day working in my garden. All that digging and wheelbarrow pushing burns calories.
I really want to make day 3 tomorrow. Luckily (or not) I ate all the fattening stuff in the house on Thursday and Friday so there isn't too much for me to get in trouble with. |

It sounds like everyone is doing good... morrigan the great things about changing your life is that you can always start fresh the next day..... I have been so busy this past week and a half so therefore I havent been on plan at all.... recitals, then mom in town, then I had to go to dallas and just got back today.... I am starting my challenge all over tomorrow.... I hope all is doing well..... See you tomorrow... |

Good so far - I had oatmeal for breakfast and am going to physical therepy after summer school gets out for the day.

Day One!!!
Hello All!!!
I have done pretty good so far today.... I walked the dogs this morning (1 1/2 miles).... then came in and did the Power 90 Curcuit Video and the Ab Video (33 minutes for both), when I got home from work I worked in the yard for about 45 minutes so far... may go back out for a little bit after dinner and then if it doesnt start raining I will probably walk the dogs tonight.... As for food... I have done pretty good so far today... had bowl of mini wheats cereal for breakfast, cottage cheese and tuna fish for lunch, havent had dinner yet but I am thinking of having speghetti... nights are my hardest times so pray for me... Day 3 a minor success
I made it through day 3. 1772 calories and 50 minutes working out at the gym. I have been having a really hard time keeping my calories down. I snack too much during the day. I need to start adding in my food before I eat it instead of totalling up the damage afterwords. I am happy to be heading on to day four. I think if I can keep this up for 10 days or so I will get more into a groove and it will be easier to stay there.
Good job angel! Evenings and late afternoon are my hardest times foodwise. |
I agree morrigan the firdt two weeks is the worst.It sounds like everyone did real good today.

I know it's a little late...
I know it's late cause some of you are already half through but I am new here and want today to be my day one. I just started an eating program and excersize and this 30 day challenge would be perfect for me. My friend is at a weight loss camp for 8 weeks and I also need to lose about 40 pounds (not in 8 weeks of course) so that we can both end the summer thinner and then become dancers for a dj company. Thanks everyone, I'll write later and tell you about my day one. Plus if anyone wants a one on one excersize/diet buddy please let me know. :spin: :wave: :dizzy:

Day 2!!!

Day Two is going so so.... my puppies had to go get fixed today so I have been worried about them.....didnt get to eat breakfast this morning because of taking puppies in but I have only eaten a tuna sandwich today and had some orange juice.... energy is very low though and I am afraid I might binge tonight.... I hope not and am going to be really dilegent.... as for exercise I plan on working out tonight because I couldnt this am.... Will let you know... fortdecoeur - welcome to the group. Please let us know what you are doing.... morrigan - way to go on day 3..... yes evenings are the absolute worst for me... michaela - how are you doing??? talk to you soon |

Welcome fortdecoeur - it's never too late to join in. Check back in and tell us how your exercise went. Today is the first day I have not formally exercised in over a week, but I did garden for a lot of the day - so I counted that. Congratulations on having a good day one. Hang in there Angel - I hope everything goes OK with the puppies. If you click on my homepage I have some pics of my dogs too (although they are not puppies anymore). I am feeling more confident. Yesterday I started measuring things and today I started planning what I was going to eat ahead of time. It is really helpful to know what I am going to eat for the day instead of just eating and totalling up the damage later. Also I had a small victory today. I got the munchies and when I entered the kitchen made a healthy snack (cottage cheese and applesauce) instead of my usual handfuls of peanuts, 2 cliff bars, of toast with jam. Getting rid of the snacking could easily cut out 700 calories a day from my diet. |

Day 3
Well I made it through last night - no thanks to my boyfriend who came home with Ben & Jerry's Bovinity Divinity (white and dark chocalate icecream with white and dark chocholate chunks!!!!) it is soooo good.... had spaghetti for dinner and then had two bitefuls of icecream and that was it.... I was too impressed with myself....
I didnt really exercise this am... I didnt feel real good... so I told myself that I would start and if I really didnt feel up to it I wouldnt .... so I went through the warm up section of the video and then really didnt feel up to the rest so I stopped.... I may try again this evening.... I gave plasma yesterday and it has left me feeling a little off.... So it sounds like everyone is going good.... talk to you soon |

Well it is almost my weigh in day.I think that the 1st is on sunday. I don't know if I have lost any weigh but my clothes are getting looser.I am going to try really hard the rest of the week. morrigan how is it going today? |
Day 5 (I feel like I should pinch myself)
Day 5 is going OK. I just got done with Physical Therepy and is is 12:46 and I am really hungry. I stopped at a conveniance store and bought a box of gobstoppers. I also had 3 mini reeses peanut cups at PT. I should have brought some lunch with me. But sugar will hold me out until I get home for lunch and I should still be fine calorie wise as long as I skip my afternoon snack.
My DH is out of town for a few days. I always have a harder time eating when I am home alone. I tend to eat stuff when I am by myself (or in a big crowd) that I wouldn't if I was with a small group. That sounds weird, but it is true. |
