Default Yoga shopping tips

I have started taking Yoga and Pilates classes at the YMCA. They have mats, but I noticed almost the entire class storing them away without cleaning them. ICK! Their feet and my forehead, not good thoughts! So, I want to get my own mat & carrier... cheap. Any stores/websites you would recommend? Thanks!

You can get standard-issue mats at discount stores and even book/video stores. I wanted something a little different, though -- I bought a great mat and other supplies at Gaiam.com.
