Currently, I'm doing Curves while pregnant as it's just 30 minutes and easier on me, I can handle it during pregnancy. It keeps me interested because you have all the other ladies there to talk to. Plus it gets me out of the house. I combine it with a tanning session right next door and get in at least 3 to 4 times a week.
And even though I dislike walking because of the time it takes, since I can't run at the moment, I've found that if I combine it with lunch, it's more pleasurable. So I stop at Wendy's on my way back and have a salad and read or listen to my CD. I take a backpack with me and include my book and any movies I might need to return next door to Wendy's. Also, being in the market for baby stuff, I can glance at all the yard sales I pass, then drive back to buy things to haul off after my walk. LOL
When I started getting tired of the same old aerobics videos, I tried turning down the sound and just following the video with music playing instead. I don't have coordination for that though, so I bought another video instead...something different, something new.
I will also march in place while lifting hand weights when I'm watching a show. That way, I'm not bored. I mean...I was already going to watch the show. I can either do it on my butt or on my feet. On my feet means I will get pumped up and feeling more energetic afterward.

Once the baby arrives, I'll have a walking buddy...or a carrying buddy? LOL Or I can try running while pushing him in the stroller...I've been looking at jogging strollers. As he grows up, exercise can be a family event...minus hubby. He thinks exercise is for healthy people and swears he doesn't fit the bill. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks, just not that old dog. Which, as someone mentioned about a dog, if you have kids or a dog, they both make great companions and REASONS for exercise. The dog will have a better time being walked than being put out into the fenced in backyard. The kids will be healthier and enjoy the time spent with you on walks. Go to the playground with them and spend some time on the monkey bars. Don't just sit and watch them play...we adults can play too.
