I have a long run tomorrow so I gotta rest the leggies. happy exercise people. :)

30 minutes on the elliptical - resistance set at 5 and 20 minutes working shoulders. I think the next time I do the elliptical, I will up the resistance to 6!

After a two day break (that was supposed to be one), I'm ready to be back on track.

Hi all,
yesterday I was so busy with work so I took a day off from the gym. Today I was also running aroudn so I did my step Rebok at home. its fun and gets my endorphins up, i"m not sure if it burns as much as 60 min on the ellypitical but some times I gotta mix it up. My weigh in in on sunday and I'm actually excited about going. must be the support from the daily checking and posting here! thanks ladies.

Just finished a good 55 min run, it felt really good AND I was going out for only a minimum time but ended up going almost an hour... I'm happy with myself :D...

michellejy 04-15-2005 05:16 PM

I didn't work out as long or as hard as usual, but I did a little bellydancing today so I can live with myself :D

No workout for me today... Went out with the girls last night OYE ... Tomorrow is a 10k run...

30 minutes on the elliptical - ALMOST made it to 400 calories (393). See, when I was heavy I burned calories SO much faster due to my size. Now that my weight is down, it's tons harder to get the calories up there, so my goal (not yet reached) is 400 calories in 30 minutes. It used to be so easy ...

Then 10 minutes on the bike and a good shoulder workout. One-arm DB press (alternating arms). incline flyes, cable crossovers, and pushups on the BOSU ball. Short and sweet. :D

And just what kind of workout was it last night, hmmm? Did it involve  wine  by any chance???

Meg, you must be flying on that elliptical! I can't make nearly 400 calories in 30 minutes :o

45 minutes of a progression from "rollercrashing" to rollerblading! I can do this! I don't need to sell them on ebay :dizzy: Dh taught me how to do crossover turns and is trying to convince me it would be a lot easier if I had a hockey stick in my hands

(man, my legs hurt! I thought I was strong :strong: )

It's probably just a different model that counts calories differently. I don't think I'm all that fast - I keep it on Level 9 or 10 and around 160 - 170 strides/minute. We have some young girls who can keep it in the 200s most of the time! :faint: Regardless, it sure gets my geriatric heart rate up there! I had my monitor on and stayed between 85 and 95% of my theoretical max most of the time.

Besides, I couldn't roller blade to save my soul. I'd love to learn, but live in the land of hills and mountains (and rivers and bridges).

tikanique 04-17-2005 08:58 AM

Level 9 and 10? Man, I thought I was doing something moving up to level 6!

Yesterday no workout except a killer glute workout achieved by sitting on a hard metal chair for 10 hours. Doesnt' really burn any calories but you FEEL THE BURN!!!!

Tiki.
