Meg, you must be flying on that elliptical! I can't make nearly 400 calories in 30 minutes :o

45 minutes of a progression from "rollercrashing" to rollerblading! I can do this! I don't need to sell them on ebay :dizzy: Dh taught me how to do crossover turns and is trying to convince me it would be a lot easier if I had a hockey stick in my hands

(man, my legs hurt! I thought I was strong :strong: )

It's probably just a different model that counts calories differently. I don't think I'm all that fast - I keep it on Level 9 or 10 and around 160 - 170 strides/minute. We have some young girls who can keep it in the 200s most of the time! :faint: Regardless, it sure gets my geriatric heart rate up there! I had my monitor on and stayed between 85 and 95% of my theoretical max most of the time.

Besides, I couldn't roller blade to save my soul. I'd love to learn, but live in the land of hills and mountains (and rivers and bridges).

Level 9 and 10? Man, I thought I was doing something moving up to level 6!

Yesterday no workout except a killer glute workout achieved by sitting on a hard metal chair for 10 hours. Doesnt' really burn any calories but you FEEL THE BURN!!!!

Well, I pretty much met my goal this week - 3 days at the gym, with weights and cardio! ;)

Tiki, I just pushed up to level 7, and spent the whole time having little talks with myself and bargaining - "just 5 more minutes, then you can stop," "you can take a break and a sip of water when this song ends," and so on. Whatever it takes to keep going, no? I always feel good when I've done what I said (to myself only) that I would.

Yesterday I hauled my bike to the gym and did a short, 20 minute, ride before going in for weights and "real" cardio. (Later in the season the bike will be "real" cardio, but my seat is not ready for that yet. ) It felt so good to be doing something out in the fresh sunny spring air.

Pat get an ergonomically correct seat for your bike they are expensive but well worth it...

I had a great 10k run today I ran with this lady today who I've met at the gym. I figured that she was in her mid 50's well she's 63!!

I walked 15 miles in 2 malls looking for a yellow purse and didn't find one :( Does that count? (It was really my rest day.)
Congratulations on the run, Ilene!

Got one Ilene, plus padded shorts (though I wasn't wearing these yesterday, it wasn't THAT warm! ) Both do help, but it still takes me a couple weeks til my "sit" bones don't hurt. :)

It only counts if you did walking lunges every time you went past Cinnabon, Godiva chocolates, or any food court.

I took a rest day and stayed home making obsessive-compulsive notecards of muscles for my personal trainer exam. :dizzy: Don't think I burned any calories though.

I went to the gym, ran for 40 minutes with the last 5 minutes alternating between sprinting a lap and walking a lap with another lady that runs on Sundays. Man that felt good but it was so HARD. I also worked back / abs.

Too bad about the purse Mel. I hit the mall today also in search of new running shoes (found them) and black flats to wear with slacks (didn't find).

Tiki.
