I measure my biking in time rather than miles... In the past when I was up to 45 min./day, I was covering 10-12 miles during that time. I think it's all tied up with what else you're doing, how fit you are to start with, etc. Your exercise goals should be what work for you--if you're losing weight and getting more fit with what you're doing, that's great. And keep in mind, too, that strength and flexibility are areas you might want to spend time on: cardio's great, but it's not everything our bodies need.
