O!d Two Times!
So great to see so many people doing their O! more than once a day! The past two days I've done it twice, and it's been great. I hadn't realized that I actually missed doing Level 1! The cool thing about L1 is that since your arms are free for a lot of it, I hold 3lb weights in my hands for some of the positions.
Barbg, if I do O! more than once a day, I usually do it together. I actually dress to work out, and I can't see myself changing more than once. My favorite way to do O! (when I have time) is to do 15 minutes of Oxycise, then do another workout tape, like Tae Bo or Denise Austen, and then finish up with 15 minutes of Oxycise. Usually takes up about an hour. Glad to see everybody still posting. Ten days is a long time, but I'm so glad we're all doing it! The cool thing is that we're ending right before Memorial Day, and I'll definitely need two days that weekend for a break since I won't be at home... On second thought, maybe I"ll bring the tapes with me and introduce them to my mom!!! Take care everybody! Only two more days to gO! |
Wednesday
Hi!
I did my Oxycise this morning, and hope to do it again this evening, probably while watching my one hour of TV, as I still have some studying to do. Barb, I haven't been using the tape, but doing it from memory most of the time. (I occasionally use the tape, but my husband is home this week and next, and it is easier to go in the (laughingly called) sewing room and close the door instead of making it a spectator sport! I've been doing it once in the am and once pm, but I'm sure I've seen where others have done it twice in a row. (I've also been counting out 8 reps instead of 4, but most of the time the tape has about 8 anyway, even if she does say 4!) Rose, I really like my job, although today was a dilly. We had kind of a quiz on our ideas of death and our attitudes on it and had to write our own obituary!! That's something different. It's meant to help us to understand where the client is coming from.... And I've been told of something that might help my clothes situation. I live in Phoenix, and most of my appropriate clothes are what I would wear in winter, as, on the whole, this is a very casual area. I have been told, though, by two different sources that there are some good thrift stores in Sun City where you can get nice outfits for only a couple dollars. One of the gals at work today had on a jacket she bought for $2, and it looked like a hundred! There is a consignment store near me, but there the prices are almost as bad as new. I'm going to try the thrift stores. I'm rambling again. Must close. Still have email to go through. Nancy |
Morning O!
Did my L1 this morning and plan to do L2 tonight. Maybe I'll do both L1 again and L2 - and really become an O!verachiever!
Woke up fairly early this morning, and it was really nice! If I could just make it past the first 5 minutes of every morning, I would be up early ALL the time! But, it's so easy to get so much more done in the mornings, and I enjoy the peace and quiet with the sun shining through the windows. Of course peace and quiet isn't always there with a dog AND a cat in the house... but this morning they were actually quiet. Wait, no, the cat decided to use my journal as a place to lay down - while I was writing on it! But, she's so cute, how can it bother me??? Hope you all have a great day! |
Good Morning Everyone:wave:!
I did my O last night. I was soooooooo tired I just didn't want to do it but I got up and did my L2 and felt so much better. I wish I could get back into the morning habit again but it's been hard for me. So I will have to do it again tonight. I can't believe it's almost 10 days! You've all done so great:)! What do you all think about doing another 10 day challenge after this one? I heard that you have to do something 21 days before it becomes a habit. Let me know if you all want to go for it:D! |
I CNA'T BELIVE IT'S NEARLY OVER!
Wow where did these 10 days go?:?: Sure Rose we're up for another challenge, but let me suggest we do not officially start it until next Wed when the holiday will be over and our routines will be back in place. And how about trying it for the whole 21 days? we all did so good with the 10 days we need to maxumine our efforts. What about it ladies? Anyone up to join Rose and I in a 21 day challenge.
Rose I know what you mean. I used to always do my O at night, so I thought it would be Sooo easy to O twice a day for these 10 days, but what did I do? Nothing, bed time comes and off to bed I go, without even thinking about O'ng. Juilliette, nancy up for another challenge? Anyone else want to join in? Keep us informed. |
Barb-What a great idea:D! I agree let's not do it until Weds and let's make it for the whole 21 days. Just look how fast the 10 days went by. It's hard to believe it's been almost 10 days:eek:! I figure after this long weekend filled with picnics and too much food I'm going to want to get back on track. So I'm all set for Weds. I hope everyone else will join us:D!

Me, too. Ten days is hardly long enough to see a change. I just realized that I have to get up tomorrow and measure, as well as weigh. I've only lost 1 lb, so far, but I know I haven't done as well as I should with my eating. 21 days would be a better chanc.

Hi everyone!
So sorry I haven't been posting--it's been absolutely crazy-busy around our place. I am getting ready to go out of town with my sister this weekend. We are taking care of my Dad's ashes with my other sister--my Dad, as some of you know, died last year. It will be good to have some closure, but an emotional time for all of us, naturally. Sooooo....I've had tons to do to get ready for the trip and our mother is meeting us mid-week and coming back with me for a visit and I had hoped to have more done around the house. Oh well, there's only so much time, right??? :spin: As I was saying, I will be away next week so I won't be able to check in. I'll probably be going through withdrawal while I'm out there not having the chance to go on the computer! Today I did Level 1 this morning and I also didn't post a couple of days ago when I did Level 1 and half of Level 2--I couldn't get to this message board, for some reason--it wouldn't load. So, I haven't been able to get my O! in daily, but I've been trying to make up for it on the days I do (usually every day or second day). Keep up the great work everyone! I think the idea of another challenge (or an ongoing 10-day challenge) is a great idea!!! :D Take care everyone--I'll try to check in again before I leave this weekend. Susan R. :) |
10th day results!
Hi!
I don't usually post in the morning, but I had the time today, and thought I would post my results. I weighed and measured on day 1 and again today. My weight is the same (due to my not eating right, I'm sure), but i have lots of inches to report! I measure more area than most (things like nec, wrist, etc), so my total was a little high--12 inches. But I did lose a total of 6.75 inches in areas where most would measure, including: bust 1" abs 1 1/4" waist 1" tummy 1 1/2 himps 1/4' thighs 1/2", 1" Upper arm 3/4", 1 1/2" Even though I didn't lose any pounds, I am thrilled with the inch loss! It can be much more encouraging than losing pounds, especially when you notice how your clothes fit better. I am anxiously looking forward to that 21 day challenge to see how much I can lose then. I did "O" twice on two days of the ten. If I would do it twice every day I would probably see better results. Nancy |
I read my notes wrong. Upper arms were 3/4 and 1/2, not 3/4 and 1 1/2

Nancy - I am sooo excited for you!!! Way to go on that inch loss!!! That is soooO! amazing! You are truly an inspiration to all of us!
I also had inch loss, without weight loss... but, who's complaining :) Haven't O!d yet today, and since I have to leave for my part-time job, I won't be able to until I get home (which will be 11:30ish - pm). Wanted to this morning, but my puppy decided to learn how to flip the latch on the gate outside and he got out of the yard. Scared me to death as I ran outside praying he was OK... Luckily, he was just running in circles in the front yard, not knowing how to deal with the freedom! Anyway, that made morning O! impossible.... so tonight I will definitely do it! I am all for a 21 day challenge! I think that would be a great way to get definite results! I've heard of people who've lost TREMENDOUS amounts when they do it for an entire month... If Nancy can lose 6 in ten days, imagine what the rest of us can do in 21 days! Also agree with starting it on Wednesday so we can all get through the weekend... although I still plan to bring it home with me to introduce it to the folks this weekend... Take care everybody! Congratulations on making it 10 days!!!! Like the rest of you, I can't believe it's over already!!! |
We did GOOD!
Nancy, I'm sure you'd win the prize, if we had a prize, but all of us should be proud of ourselves for keeping up the good work and the good O's. I too lot a few inches, but nearly as impressive as yours Nancy. I plan to keep it up untill we start the new challenge on Wednesday.
