Is my routine alright?

  • I know every person's body reacts differently to exercises. But, in a general sense, does this work out routine/schedule sound effective for weight loss? I just started it 2 weeks ago. I feel better physically, but I haven't weighed myself.

    Sunday - 1/2 hour of cardio, hour of hot yoga
    Monday - hour of Zumba, 1/2 hour lifting
    Tuesday - 30-45 min lifting, hour of cardio kickboxing
    Wednesday - hour of spinning
    Thursday - Hour of a HIIT class (incorporates weights)
    Friday - rest
    Saturday - leisure physical activity (a walk, jog, hike, etc)

    Summer is coming up, so I don't want to waste too much time with trial and error. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
  • Yes, your routine seems good. However, the only thing that matters is whether you can continue it or not. Having a great routine doesn't matter at all if you can't continue it for months without a break. I hope you'll be able to stick to it as the saying goes - "Be like a postage stamp. Stick to a thing till you get there".

  • I think it looks good- you have good variety, and you've built in a rest day. Plus it sounds like it's being effective!
