Exercise Minutes Log
Hello Everyone....
I hope this finds you all doing well and excited about what the new year holds .... I am going to use this forum to log my exercise minutes....you are free to join me and add yours right along with mine..I would love that...no pressure though... I just have to put my numbers up in black and white to make myself accountable...for some reason this is the only thing that has ever worked for me and I actually get excited to do so... This year for me it's about better health...if the weight comes off fine...if it doesn't that is fine too...I'm more worried about becoming stronger, more flexible and increasing my endurance..... This is summary of what I've done so far from Jan 1 to now: 260 minutes of yoga 291 minutes of boxing 60 minutes weights 90 minutes walking the dogs 40 minutes ab work ------------------------------- 741 minutes so if you'd like to add your time on....just make a post with 741 + whatever you have done= our new total...... Just squeezed in 15 minutes of yoga before my job interview

Whew...just got done with 35 minutes of cardio boxing...that got the blood pumping to the old heart

got 15 minutes of yoga done before work this afternoon....if the weather holds I'll be able to walk the dogs tonight :), they will like that...

Thank you fat2fab...you have totally made my day....I needed that boost....I didn't get the job I interviewed for and it's the second time in a month it's been between me and someone else with the other person getting picked....argh and I was trying really hard not to let it get me down and then I woke up this morning and saw you had added some time in on this thread and I instantly felt better and more hopeful so thank you

I did get in 8 minute Brazilian abs yesterday but then just took the rest of the day to relax...I haven't had a break in 20 days so I thought my muscles could use a little recovery time...next Friday is my weigh and measurement day....I feel better than I did 30 days ago so whatever the scale and tape measure show or don't show is secondary to how I feel....will be adding more time in this evening....

What a great night...got in 55 minutes of boxing and 25 minutes walking the puppies so now that brings the total to:
965 + 80=1055 Just the change over the last 23 days since I've been exercising regularly I've felt a big change in my stamina and I'm sleeping much better.... If you came across this thread...please feel free to add your minutes in.... |
Tonight got in 25 minutes walking the dogs and 15 minutes of yoga...
1055 + 40=1095 I realize I have to adjust my monthly goal higher since I still have a week left in the month so I'll say 1350 for January for me |

Today after an awesome little workout of 30 minutes of weights and 15 minutes of yoga, I find myself wondering why when exercise makes me feel so good...why do I stop? What are the triggers that have me quit? Do I get sick and then have a hard time getting back...or is it after I get hurt....and then feel like if I was more physically fit I wouldn't have such injuries so screw it....what's the point....I need to become proactive to shut down scenarios rather than reactive...because reactive doesn't work...
So I'm writing this note to myself.....REMEMBER EXERCISE IS AS MUCH AS A BENEFIT TO YOUR MIND AS IT IS YOUR BODY...SO DON'T PUNISH YOURSELF BY STOPPING...BECAUSE EVEN WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE RESULTS FOR A WHILE...YOU CAN ALWAYS FEEL THE ELEVATION IN YOUR SPIRIT. 1138+30+15=1183 |
today got in 8 mins brazilian abs and 36 minutes essential boxing fatburner wo....holy cow my thighs barely made it thru...

Weigh and measurement morning is over and
I've got a loss of 4.6 pounds for the month and 1.25 inches has vanished from my hips what is working....the 8 minute abs I love that....and consistent yoga where I need to improve.....more weight workouts and increase the days I walk the dog.... Overall a nice step in the right direction |
Took a well deserved two days off of exercise but still ate right...I felt comfortable taking a rest instead of having a treat meal for my reward for success...

Today was pretty great too...got a new pair of gym shoes so now I can starting working to get ready for my 5k next month or mile walk depending in where I'm at.....was a little sore while walking tonight but I did do a hour of boxing so......no real worries..

Walking was easier today but I still need to keep at it to increase my mileage...right now I'm doing 1 mile at a time and hanging in there.....today's additions

Scored a new job today....I start next Tuesday...super excited....better financial position will help eliminate some stress which will cause me to not have stress eating episodes so super awesome

So as long as everything goes alright...I'll be switching from part time to full time work next week...I need to create a solid plan for keeping my exercise on target....what I don't want to do is try and cram a whole bunch of time in on Sat/Sun because I know that is foolish and won't bring about success....so I think a good idea is yoga before work...I realize for me this will be an adjustment...getting up at 6:15 everyday....I haven't done that in years and then 8 minutes abs or glutes alternatively...with 30 minutes of something in the evening....it can be walking the dogs, weights, boxing...whatever...the weekends can bring in a little longer session but also outdoor activity....there is much to be done in the yard this year so gardening and landscaping does get the heart pumping.....I like where I'm at and will just keep growing upon that.....

Saturday is the last day at my old job....was sad to leave so many people I've come to care deeply for but I need to learn and embrace a new life of caring for myself.....

yesterday was a bi-polar day....happy to be starting a new and much better phase of my life...sad to be leaving people I really have grown to love.....didn't exercise yesterday because the top of my foot was a little sore so took some rest......

start my new job tomorrow so it will be 6am yoga for me...ouch that will take some getting used to and I am worried about my energy level but we will see how it goes

So the first day of the new job is under my belt...super awesome people to work with....much less stress then my previous job though I really miss some of the people I used to work with...alot!!! But I have an hour for lunch which I was able to grab in a 20 minute walk.....but now I'm exhausted.....totally exhausted...

with the first week of my new job just about under my belt...I'm very very happy...super great people and I'm able to walk at work weather permitting of course...I bring my lunch so daytime snacking isn't an issue and I have 2-3 bottles of water while i'm there which is awesome but I have learned that yoga in the morning is not for me..to be able to do it I literally need to get started five minutes after I get up and the problem I've found is I'm so stiff I don't even get to enjoy it and I can't breathe deeply and really stretch out...so that is a no go....yoga is back at night...that is what works for me and for my body but I do need to bring my weights and cardio in during the weeknights...I am doing things which is great and I realize I need to cut myself a little slack...I will not adjust to a new schedule in a week :) |
Wow what a difference life makes when you are not working six days a week...had a great morning with the hubby and daughter...went to a rummage sale and then hit up good will...ran some errands and then had a healthy breakfast at Einstein bagels....Walked yesterday at work but spent the night just resting which was well deserved...today I'm looking to do around 2 or 3 sessions of yoga to be stretched out for my attempt to pre-walk our 5K...will add in yesterdays time and post today's time later

well I've been away for a few days....still doing everything I should be just had an emotional day wednesday...a car came into our lobby at work and literally left a gaping hole in the building...it was crazy...glad it wasn't going faster and thankful there were items in our lobby to slow it down because I could have really been seriously hurt...I was in the cars direct path
Tomorrow is weigh/measurement day....I'm proud of what I've been doing and do really feel good about myself so I must remember that numbers don't define who I am 40 minutes walking ( 2 20 min lunchtime walks thurs and fri) and 30 minutes joy of yoga + 2692=2762 have already made the monthly goal...today clocks me in at 1440 minutes for feb |
what an awesome morning...lost 5 pounds and an inch off my waist and an inch off my hips....very happy of the accomplishments made in Feb
