Default 5k Walk/Run goals of 2014

I've completed The Color Run this year! This time I completed it sometime between 45-55 minutes. I registered yesterday for Titan 5k with my boyfriend. He actually wanted to do it because you get a free home game ticket upon completion. On Thursday I am registering for Electric Run 5k. My goal for Titan 5k (May 31st) is to do it in 45 minutes or less. My goal for Electric Run is to do it in 40 minutes (June 28th).

My overall goal is to complete 5 walk/run 5k's in the year 2014! Anyone else really enjoying all of the different 5k's out there?

To be ready for a 5K (at least be able to run one on my one) by late summer.

My 13 year old son and I finished our first 5k this month (Relay for Life glow 5K). It was awesome!! Our only goal was to run the whole thing, and we did (finished in just under 37 min, we putter along LOL). The race coincided with the last run of the C25K program we were doing so it was absolutely perfect.

Now we're working towards a fall 10k and another 5k that we'll run timed. We're shooting for a 1/2 marathon next year if all goes well.

I love participating in 5k's! My first for this year should be next Sunday and it's our annual Summit Race. It's up a huge Summit and you feel every muscle in your body straining to get up it, but when you're done you're ready to conquer the world! My only problem is trying to pay for all these races! They are for good causes but money is tight!
