its an activity tracker that you wear. Like a pedometer with some more bells and whistles. Mine tracks calories, flights of stairs, sleep and more! They are pretty cool and come in a variety of price ranges. Totally check them out.

I just ordered my Fitbit One..and can't wait to start! Please add me, too! I've always been "anti-exercise"...and, think this us hoping to keep me on track and give me impetus for achieving my daily exercise goals! :-)

I got a used fitbit one the other day from a friend, but she didn't have any of the attachments anymore. Well I ordered the charging cable (it was completely dead) and I am charging it up now.For anyone that has the Fit Bit one. . Do you need the sync dongle thing? It seemed like you don't need it necessarily if you have a phone that will sync with it, so I don't know if I should purchase a replacement or not.

I can't wait to get started with it. I have it linked up to My Fitness Pal and Map My Run so I can't wait to see how it integrates with those apps.

Woo!!! awesome you got one kailpea! I have no idea about what bits you need to make yours do all the things. I think your right that your phone should work just fine though. You and I are the most similar in sizes and goals of all my fitbit friends, so I'll have my eye on your stats!!

Kailpea, if you're ok with syncing through the phone, I don't think you really need the usb syncer. Honestly, the only time I go on the fitbit website on my computer is to add friends and buy replacement clips. And yes, you will have to replace the clips - they last about 6 months for me. ;)
