I got the flex because I'd read that there were some skin reactions with the force. I really like it. and the tracker app is way better than the last few I used (calorie count and livestrong).

And right on Jane, I have the Force, no issues so far (I love that it tells the time:)) I do wish the clasp was a bit better. It has come off once (I noticed right away) The tracker app is super nice, though I have found the food database to be lacking compared to mynetdiary, so I sucked it up and paid for a year to link the two. I figured since I was planning on getting the fitbit when I got it for a gift instead, I used some of that money to link the two. Saves me from having to re-enter ALLLLL of the foods I had created in mynetdiary.

Its great that you can link to other trackers. It's such a pain to have to start from scratch!

I have a fitbit but rarely sync it (I forget! I have an ultra that needs plugged into USB) so I won't have much data on there lol. My user number on fitbit is 253Q8X, so you'll have to search for me as I can't post links yet. Sorry.:(

I have a Fitbit Force, I got mine in November. I love it! It makes me much more mindful of how active (or not) I've been each day. I love that it alerts me to tell me I'm close to my goal and to keep going, or cheers me for hitting my target, or for exceeding it. I am probably twice as active since getting my Force.

I might be asking a really dumb question here. But what is fitbit? I guess I could just go google it when I'm not on my phone! Hah

its an activity tracker that you wear. Like a pedometer with some more bells and whistles. Mine tracks calories, flights of stairs, sleep and more! They are pretty cool and come in a variety of price ranges. Totally check them out.

I just ordered my Fitbit One..and can't wait to start! Please add me, too! I've always been "anti-exercise"...and, think this us hoping to keep me on track and give me impetus for achieving my daily exercise goals! :-)

I got a used fitbit one the other day from a friend, but she didn't have any of the attachments anymore. Well I ordered the charging cable (it was completely dead) and I am charging it up now.For anyone that has the Fit Bit one. . Do you need the sync dongle thing? It seemed like you don't need it necessarily if you have a phone that will sync with it, so I don't know if I should purchase a replacement or not.

I can't wait to get started with it. I have it linked up to My Fitness Pal and Map My Run so I can't wait to see how it integrates with those apps.

Woo!!! awesome you got one kailpea! I have no idea about what bits you need to make yours do all the things. I think your right that your phone should work just fine though. You and I are the most similar in sizes and goals of all my fitbit friends, so I'll have my eye on your stats!!

Kailpea, if you're ok with syncing through the phone, I don't think you really need the usb syncer. Honestly, the only time I go on the fitbit website on my computer is to add friends and buy replacement clips. And yes, you will have to replace the clips - they last about 6 months for me. ;)

I am really loving the fit bit one I have, and the way it works with fitness pal. I sometimes hate being accountable for everything I eat, down to 8 french fries I snagged from my son the other day, but it really is helping with my weight loss, and the fit bit one really motivates me to move more everyday.
