    As for me I having to bag running for ahile {keep crying about it} my feet are killing me!!! Its not due to running {I don't think...I think its a reaccurance of periheal neuopathy.. I do not have diabetes or any sign of it bbut have been diagnosed of this a few years ago ...it was really bad when I was waitressing all the time,but had really cut back the last few years and it got better NO problems...NOW its bad every min of every day,it wakes me all night!! I AM BUMMED!!!Am going to see aspecialist 3 hrs away in a couple of weeks {I have my kids coming for vacation the end of this week}
  • Gayle,

    Could the peripheral neuropathy be related to Shingles? I think I read somewhere that those things were linked? I am so sorry that you are laid up!!

    I just got back from a 7 mile run. My Achilles Tendonitis was KILLING me for about the first mile!

    I have a 10K race this Saturday and then am doing my 2nd 1/2 mary the first weekend in September. I'll get this 10K in the bag and then will have to evaluate what to do for the next month!

  • cherry..it might be but had it about 5 years ago before the shingles..it could be what is recactivating it. Have an appointment with neuopathy specialist in 2 weeks and a podiatrist next week to rule other things out..also had tarsel tunnel [also can cause neuopathy} So who know...now I have laurengitis and sore throat! YIKES! company comes tommarro
  • Gayle - any improvement?

    I ran another 10K race yesterday. It was really windy, but I killed it time wise for me and finished in 46:49. I was really trying to catch the only female ahead of me and really laid it on the last mile, but I couldn't catch her! So a crappy second place for me. I did place 5th out of a field of 70+ though.

    An interesting thing happened after the race. This guy came up and introduced himself to me and he is a physical therapist. He said that I have "awesome turnover" (which I didn't even know what that meant and had to look it up later ) He said that I had "one of the most perfect strides" he has ever seen. So that was quite a compliment. He said that when he heard me coming up behind him he could tell I was a forefoot striker and knew that I would blow past him and that he would never catch me.
