The only animals I see are two ducks and a few turtles in the pond. recycledartgirl – Hunger walk? What a great name! elvislover324 - I thought my legs were running so much faster under me  Novus – same here with humidity It was too hot and humid here today so I only ran 3.5 km (laugh here for the ‘only’) I have set a goal for June to run 60 km in total. Tomorrow, back at it! |
ive put in 10 days in a row with a run....several outside and several HIIT ones at the gym...today I did another HIIT one because it's started to rain again outside....im going to rest this weekend

I tried to get out before it was too hot out this morning, but boy it was humid! I did a full 5k, though. Although each mile seemed harder, my time got better with each one. :?:
I don't follow any specific program now. I run when the weather is good and I can easily make the time (day off or going in late to work). 2-3 times a week seems to be my sweet spot. I can do 2 days in a row, but a third day is too much. When I was on vacation, I ran 5 times in 12 days - that was a bit much - I came home with a sore hip flexor. I probably won't run again til before work on Tuesday - working all weekend. :( |
I was out early to beat the heat. Ran 2.5 miles in 25 minutes and broke my one mile record which is now near-as-damn-it to 9 minutes. I'm nearly at 5k! Best sign up for the Fall!

Ran 3.44 miles this morning to beat the heat. Yesterday, 97 degrees, today it's supposed to reach 96!

I'm wondering if any of my fellow runners might know... I'm thinking of signing up for a 5k road race.
Did you ever google someone looking for whatever info and you find their name and every race they ran, their age, their finish time, etc.? It's usually on coolrunning.com. I'm paranoid about being found on google and anytime I do find any reference to myself I work like crazy to remove the info. (Yep, very paranoid, like someone wants to find me!) Can you opt out of published data on a run or do I really have to sign up as Jane Doe every time I run? |

Hello, all! I am going to start working running back into my exercise routine - probably 2-3 times each week. I've only recently been able to run 5k again (since high school) and I haven't yet attempted it in he summer heat. Any tips?
