before i forget... i want to post my mileage from yesterday. i plan on updating again tonight/tomorrow. but i just wanted to do this quickly. i did three miles yesterday. woo hoo! to the mall and back. did a little shoe looking, but didn't buy anything. i need a new pair of sneakers.... i love mine now, but they're starting to get worn. Cristi, Thanks for the kudos!! the pool my family swims in is located in a village with a pop. of just over 1,000. There are 3 towns aprox. this size within 5 miles of my home and each maintains it's own puplic pool so it really is more rare to have company during adult hr. than to have the pool to yourself. There are perks to "little" cities.
Jenifer, You are doing just awesome on that new machine of yours.YGG!!You keep this up and onederland is definitely right around the next corner. I visited my sister on Sun. and not only did she have her first new hairstyle in a dozen years, but she also told me she had her first boyfriend in the same number of years!!! ( she was divorsed in '91) The guy she's dating is a long time friend so I'm hoping for all the best. So, all in all I'd say she's doing really good. Thanks for asking. Kristen, Be good to your feet and they'll take you everywhere you want to go! It started out rainy and ucky here so I did 3.25 WATP miles, but then around 3pm the sun came out really nice so I took the 3 older children to the pool and the 3 yr. old hit the bike trail for another 2 miles with me. All 4 played in the park where the pool is while I swam at adult swim again. I did laps continuously for 25 min. (5 min. ) longer than last night and all alone again. Sweet! This is so my time of year. When the weather is warm at least most days I love to exercise and don't feel bogged down by it, because I've always loved the outdoors. It's the cold I really don't like. I'm having more thoughts of relocation!!! I should learn to enjoy cross country skiing or something. Oh yeah, you have to do that outside in the cold. Brrrrrrr! You're all doing awesome. I just got back from my 2.5 mile walk. I am feeling so great these days. Can't wait till Saturday to weigh in even though it is only Tuesday. :lol: :lol: :lol: Well after I do the elliptical I will check back in. what's going on with you all? after a beautiful day in boston, it decided to rain! again! can't we get a break? we've gotten ridculously pounded with bad weather. it's rained the past 14 saturdays in boston! :( how depressing. anyway, yesterday i walked around the tufts track again. it was good. i feel like i strolled for a lot of it, but i had a good time, anyway. i did 3 miles! woo hoo. i'm working so well to goal! i'm trying to keep up with the 3 miles a day thing. :) i'm at work right now, so i can't chat too much. hope all is well with everyone. and if you have great weather right now... go out and enjoy it! :D JUNE GOAL: 70 miles MILES WALKED: 22 miles MILES TO GOAL: 48 miles |

Kristi, Glad to hear your sister is doing fine, and WTG for her firsts! A new do and boyfriend! Good for her! And WTG with your walking and swimming. I am a little jealous that you get the pool to yourself, that would be so great! We too live in a small town and they are getting ready to build a new complex with pool but I know it will be full of kids as all the pools are around here. We lived in a gated community in CA and we had a community pool with a park also, and I would take the kids a few times a week during the day. There was never anyone there usually, sometimes 1 or 2 people but when people started getting home from work and on the weekends you could hardly get in the place. But it was nice. Jenifer, my friend lives in Saugus, CA (Santa Clarita) It's north of LA, close to Magic Mountain. She's fine with this divorce and all. She was going to try to stay together for the sake of the children and try to wait till they went off to college, the oldest is 8. But things just went downhill fast and she decided if he wanted a divorce he could have it. She couldn't live like that any longer. Anyway, do you like your elliptical? I may get lazy and only do 2. :lol: My eating is good, but I am out of the bottled water and REFUSE to drink the faucet stuff. it really is bad. Of course I did buy groceries this morning but didn't realize I was out till I got home. I am going to have hubby pick some up on his way home until I get to Sams on Friday. They have 32 16.9 oz bottles for 5.88 which is not bad at all so we have been getting 4 of those. We go to Sams every three or four weeks that's why we get so much. Okay, I am outta here for now. Kristen, Weather's bad here too, we can cry together. (all clouds and only 60* ) hellooo, it's June 11th!!! Cristi, Is there ever a time we get home from shopping and we've actually picked up everything we need? I finally had my dr. apt. today so the lady who's afraid of the scale has had to weigh 3 times in 12 days aaahhh!, but it was great news. I've dropped 2 more pounds. Putting me at only 2 to go for my June goal!!! It's the added exercise, because my eating hasn't been that great so that sun better get out again tomorrow so I can get back to the pool! I did 2 miles on the trail today. I should've gone the opposite way, because it was a real drag by the time I got back. I'll try to change up the scenery tomorrow. You all have a good night! Kristi |

I ended up not walking tonight but I rode my bike for 2.5 and then did my elliptical for 20 minutes again. The elliptical is nice and each day it gets better. I can't wait to see results after a couple weeks. I will be doing my walking I just wanted something different to do. The weather is nice here, we do have the wind though. Riding the bike against the wind wasn't very much fun more of a serious workout! :lol: :lol: :lol: Take care and have a good Thursday! Jenifer, glad to hear you like your elliptical. I am really wanting to get one but have no where to put it so it will have to wait. You are doing great with your workouts. Exercise is exercise so it's okay to skip walking once in a while. I have decided to have a free day from now on and that is Sunday, we'll see how that goes. I have gotten in the routine of exercising and I feel odd or lazy and guilty if I don't do it. But I definintely have Sundays set aside for a free day. I am sure you hubby will be fine at the track. I did a 25 minute bike ride and a 3.5 mile walk. I feel so energized I may end up doing another mile before the day is over. I wish I could go outside and walk. Thanks Cristi! Sometimes being the mom seems so lonely. My honey's in a better mood so things are looking up. WHen the hubby's owly it so infiltrates everything between me and the kids too. I hate that!! I did get another 2 miles in alone and had the nicest visit with my mom I've had in quite some time. so all in all the day isn't rounded out too bad. You are doing just awesome on your exercise I think taking Sun. off is a wonderful idea. Making a 5# loss my goal for June is making me afraid to take a free day. I usually only lose about .5 per week. High stakes are not my forte I like sure things.

Cristi your doing great with your walking. After my Weigh In on Saturdays I usually get Taco Bell or something like that. I'm weird like that. :lol: I have talked to many women and they usually do a free day and still lose. I am sure I would lose faster if I didn't but at least I stay sane (thing that is how ya spell it). What days do you WI again? My dh just got home from his day at the track! Thank goodness! He had a blast and wants me to go next time he decides to go again (probably next month). Well I am going to try and get him to go walking with me! This is role call is anyone here??? I hope to see some of you that have been on vacation or hiding! hope all is well for you guys! i'm doing pretty well myself. i wore this dress today that i like a lot. and i realize that when i wear things that i like... i tend to feel better about myself. not that i wear things that i hate... but when there are particular articles that i wear...i just feel good about myself. like i feel more fit or healthy or something. anyone else get that way? i ended up walking the tufts track again tonight. it did a little drizzle but nothing too crazy. i actually walked 4 miles this time. i didn't walk any yesterday, so i wanted to make up at least something. i probably won't get a chance to walk tomorrow either. bummer. but i'll be sure to make it up this weekend. maybe 4 miles both days! i like walking the tufts track. i feel like such a regular. there's this guy that runs sometimes there. no idea who he is... but i swear... he has the BEST calves i have ever seen in my entire life! they're just cut perfectly! and i love calves.. so it all works out. i want to keep walking just to see his calves again! :lol: dorky, i know. but whatever works, right? ;) kristi - completely awesome on the 2 pound loss! :bravo: you go girl! :cb: cristi - you are exercise queen! :strong: humidity definitely puts a damper on things! hope it cools down a bit for ya! :) jenifer - it seems like you are holding your own as well as far as exercise goes! good for you! it's always good to change things up a bit. :smug: otherwise you get bored! thank you girls so much for being here and helping along the way! it really means a lot!
