I finally broke through that weight plateau!

  • The last year has been great. When I went back to Jazzercise--(I have been going on and off for the last 20 years) but I stopped--for a few years and gained 25 pounds! Then over the last year I had lost 15 pounds of it--and have been fighting and digging in for the last ten--(the hardest pounds to lose).

I was stuck for many months at a certain weight and no matter what I was doing or eating--I would look at that scale--and it wouldn't budge.

This morning I weighed myself and I finally broke through that barricade-- I couldn't believe it. Only 7-1/2 pounds to go! And when I get there--no matter what--I am going to continue to exercise-because-I sure don't want those 25 pounds back.

Has anyone else experienced the weight plateau?

  • I hit a plateau for nearly three years at one point. The only thing that got me past is was intermittent fasting and cutting carbs. I started gaining some weight back in the past year and was struggling to get it off again. Increased exercise helped me build muscle, but again, the weight wouldn't budge until I combined the intermittent fasting and carb cutting.

    Stupid stubborn fat!!!!!

Oh, forgot to say...CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE!!! I really mean it!

    Thanks!

Yes--it was really stubborn. I think what has happened is I cut way down on my bread intake. Not that I was hungry--but I think there is something to bread--where it just makes it harder to lose.
