Jillian michaels is a goddess. Last night I tried on my ultra skinny way too small pants ........ And they FIT! Maybe just a teeny bit of muffin top.
So shocked! And I'm down a kilo, yay! Today is L2D4. I've added Taebo to my alternate days because it's so good for my sad, weak abs. |
I'm almost finished with level 1. I have two more days. Level 2 looks hard but I think I can do the modifications. I hope.

L3D3 anyone else feel this one flys by when doing it?

Starting this tomorrow... kind of excited/nervous! Any tips for the first workout?

Got through the entire first workout today! It was pretty tough - I did pause a few times to catch my breath, but I still finished it in less than 30 minutes I think.
I do have one issue - I can't do push ups! I can't even do Anita's version! Did anyone else have this problem? |
I just completed Level 1 Day 1 today, I had to restart since I fell off the bandwagon, lol. I too cannot do a normal pushup. My upper body strength is pretty bad, hopefully it will improve. As I type this, I can perform a plant for almost 1 min,so I am not for sure why I have such as hard time with a pushup.

L3D4 done.
when ever i have issues with a part of the workout i modify it for me, example is i can't do the plank stuff cause my wrist so i do them on a bench type thing and just try my hardest. |
Level 1 Day 1 1/2. Technically it would be Day 2 but I thought I could push myself and do the ToneIt Up DVD Surfer Babe workout beforehand and I was dead wrong. I got 8 minutes into the 30 DS and I had to stop. I think I am just going to focus on the 30 DS and then once I am done with this I will go to the ToneIt Up DVD. I also noticed, I am not nearly as sore after I do the 30 DS as I am with the Tone It Up Dvd, is this normal? I mean the 30DS is a lot more intense then the TIU Dvd however after I do the TIU Surfer Babe workout (its only 24 mins), the day after I feel like I was run over.

WOO!!! I FINISHED THE SHRED TODAY!!! I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF! I started at 191.6 and weighed in at 177.7 today. I can definitely see a difference in my abs and I guess I got stronger because the workouts got easier!
I was definitely tired of Level 3 by the end. I did it without any breaks (except a break between Day 29 and 30! haha) but I recently heard it was intended to go shred-->shred-->cardio-->rest day. So, do whatever works for you guys! I am moving on to No More Trouble Zones tomorrow, 5-6x a week and eating at least 1500 calories. My goal is to eat around 1200, but to always include exercise calories in that. Thank you for your enduring support on this thread!!! |
I did level 2. I phoned it in. But I was trying to figure out what moves I could do and what I fcouldn't. Tomorrow will be harder and better. If it's like level 1, first 3 days sucked for me and then bam! Pushing harder and harder every day

I am on D3L1, and today was MUCH better than the last two! but I want to chuck my weights out the window when it comes to that last squat and press exercise! One thing for me though, I'm not sore at all in my abs (only ever sore in my arms and thighs) and everyone on the mfp thread keeps saying their abs are sore so I'm guessing I'm not doing them right?? I want my waist to shrink!! |
hhm6 my abs were never sore either but my legs and arms killed. even with me throwing in the 300 ab challenge so i think it just depends on the person.

Besides the 30 DS, I usually go to the gym for 30 mins. Go home and do the 30 DS and sometimes an ab exercise or a thigh/booty routine. I think I am going to start alternating my ab and thigh/booty routine for the next 2 weeks and then I will find different ones. As for being sore? My arms and legs burn while I am doing the 30DS but today, my arms are fine and my legs are slightly sore, it is my abs that hurt. I guess everyone is different.

I started 30DS yesterday. It's my third time trying it but I've never gone past day two before, haha! I'm not planning on doing it everyday, I'm thinking of doing it on non-running days. Though yesterday I did both. I plan on doing L1D2 today since I won't be running. |
Today I did L2D6. It's still hard and I still have to stop to catch my breath (maybe want to, not have to). But today for the first time I felt like I could actually do things. Like the walk out push-ups, I hate those.
I feel hopeful that I'll be able to finish! I only do it every other day, or 3 times a week. |
L3D5 today, almost done 30ds. i think i'll come back to this one after a month of something else and push myself to do only the non modified part

Level 1 Day 3. I pushed myself and got through it. I really despise the jumping jacks and jump rope but once I get a past those the rest is ok, even though I had to stop a few times.

L2D7 woohoo! Today was harder, maybe because I had a small dinner last night?

Is anyone else not sore after doing this? Usually I am sore and I am pushing myself. However, every time I complete my day, tomorrow I will be on Day 4, I am not feeling sore afterwards. I may start trying to use 5lb weights and see if that will make a difference since I am currently using 3lb weights and while it burns when I am using them, afterwards, it's like nothing.

Alright, today was Level 1 Day 4. I have increased my weights to 5lbs. I definitely felt the burn today, however on the side lunges with arm raises, I could barely complete the last half of them, my arms felt like jello. I think when I get on Day 10 of Level 1, I will continue Level 1 for another week.

L2D8 done. It was harder again, but I'm not going to care. I just want to finish. Still not losing weight, but the inches are GONE!

So today I was supposed to do L2, but I realized that really don't like it. It's weird because I liked L1 and I was doing it every day. So today I skipped to L3 and it was much better. HARD! But I didn't hate every minute of it.
So I'm going to try L3 tomorrow if I have time before work. MUSCLES!! |
L3D7 starting to get bored with it now :( i will stick to it till day 10 but looking forward doing something else now

Yay, L3D2! I still like it more than L2, but I'm a giant wimpering puddle. I need to get dressed and go to work, but first I have to stop sweating!

Level 1 Day 5 completed! I still have to take several breaks, those dang jumping jacks and jump rope kill my shins and knees. I am definitely feeling the burn by increasing my weights. I also completed Level 1 Day 1 of Jillian Michaels Killer Abs, lol. Tomorrow it will be the buns and thighs video along with the 30DS.

after this i have Jillians burn fat boost metabolism i'm going to do for 30 days and then i might go back to 3DS or try another of her dvds

I haven't thought about what Jillian to do next. I'll be on vacation then my kids will be visiting, so we're going to join the Y and take classes--great bonding experience! amid all the sweat! Is burn fat boost metabolism good? Today I did L3D3. I like it! I try to the first set with the hard girl (I forgot her name) and usually do the second set with Anita. I hope by the end I can do all the hard one, but who knows. |
Level 1 Day 6! I only had to stop like 3 times, but it was not to catch my breath, it was for a water break. I also completed Day 1 of the Killer Buns and thighs, it's definitely a workout. I am alternating the Killer Buns and Thighs and decided on the 6 week 6 pack abs DVD instead of the killer abs, I found that the Killer abs DVD was awkward and she went really fast through the DVD. I am going to stay an extra week on Level 1.

L3D8 i gotta kick myself into gear as i'm falling behind in my workouts :( how is everyone else doing?

Level 1 Day 7 complete. It was a lot easier today however I did get 6 minutes into the 6 week 6 pack abs and had to shut that off, it was way too much today. On a normal day I could've have done it but for some reason today my body just wasn't feeling another 30 minute work out on top of the 30DS.

No shredding for me today. Yesterday I felt so tired I could barely complete it so I am taking a rest today. And hopefully tomorrow I can go at it again.

Did I say I liked it? Today was terrible. I got through it, barely.
I did it yesterday and today. Tomorrow I'm going to do taebo for a break. Maybe then I'll have some energy. So yesterday was d4 and today 5 . |
