No weight loss in 5 weeks
I will listen and do anything y'all tell me! I am going CRAZY here!
So for 5 weeks I have been diligent at counting every little calorie (that's how I lost the last 30lbs). Typically, 3 meals a day under 500 calories. I usually have a 450 calorie healthy breakfast, 350-400 calorie lunch and a 450-500 calorie dinner.
During the first 4 weeks I did little to no exercise but knew I was still creating a deficit. However, no weight loss. The scale has been saying exactly 178.8 since the beginning of June.
Well, I knew something had to change, I had to do something different. So, I have been doing cycling for 30 min to 60 mins per day on my new bike.
Last night I did a 10.6 mile ride (my longest yet). This morning, I weigh 179.
I am so frustrated. Yes, I know exercise makes your retain water, yada yada yada, but what about the 4.5 weeks I did NO exercise?
I do have PCOS and insulin resistant to some degree. Could that be stopping me? I've lost 30lbs, so I know I *can* lose weight.
If I am eating an average of 1500 calories, does that mean my body has slowed down to only need 1500 calories? Is that why I am not losing?

Try tweaking your macros. What do your ratios typically look like, now? I lose a LOT faster on a high fat diet of 1500 cals than I do on a high carb diet of 1500 cals. With possible IR, this may be the case for you too.

Same here, I've been at a plateau for almost 2 months, after raising my carbs. I've just recently gone back to high fat and raised my calories so hopefully I'll see some more losses soon.
Fats from avocado, bacon, nut butters, steak, whole dairy, etc.

I would try one of the online calculators to calculate your calories. Don't guesstimate and always measure.

Just keep going! The closer you get to goal, the slower it comes off. You will get there.
