Default Plus Size Yoga

I tried a new yoga class for plus size women and it was amazing. I have tried something similiar in the past that was not my cup of tea. The owner and instructor were so friendly and supportive. I hope to join the Saturday group.

Anyone else tried this type of class?

I will now add yoga with aquafitness to my routine.

Haven't tried that one, but Yoga is one of the Best things for body & mind. So glad you've found a practice that you enjoy

I just started doing a yoga video at home and didn't realize how hard it is to do. How does the plus size yoga differ from regular yoga?

Plus size yoga accommodates for size and fitness levels so it has modified moves. Some people can do downward dog but some have bellies in the way or bad knees and so the instructor provides a variety of variations of a move. And where I go the instructor goes around and corrects gently. Also the environment is positive and non judgmental.

I'll have to check my gym to see if they offer a plus size yoga. I go to a Golds gym so I doubt they will. They don't seem real friendly towards the over weight members (my opinion). Maybe I can find a video for plus size yoga because the regular one I bought is super hard for me.
