Default Anyone do HIIT?

My and my partner tried this out yesterday at the gym, first on the bike then in the boxing gym with gloves n pads. It was mad , we were both shattered.

Then followed by about an hour of weights. Had the best work out in ages.

Does anyone else do HIIT? Apparently its better for fat burning than working out moderately for ages.

we were doing sets of 4 minutes.............20high 10secs low and in total done about 30mins altogether was fun and felt really worked.

Cant wait for my workout today............hope it shows on the scales next week

Hard workout, great workout!

I don't that it targets fat burning, but it'll increase your fitness level much faster than slow and steady workouts will.

My trainer says HIIT is the best for cardiovascular health and fat burning. So, I do thirty minutes of steady state on the elliptical, followed by 5-6 sets of HIIT--I do 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off. OR 45 seconds on, 30 seconds off. If you are really going all out, then that is enough he says.

HIIT should be done 3-4 a week. Do steady state the other times.

Good luck.
