Hey everyone! It's been about a week since I posted last. I went on Spring Break and went home for the week, and we have slow internet there so I stayed away for the most part. I didn't get ANY chances to work out at all :( For the whole week! Not even a walk =/ I had a few lazy days, and a couple days of shopping. This week though I'm back at school and ready to hit the gym again! Unfortunately I'll be spending a lot of time in the car next week when I got to Missouri. But I'll find some time to atleast stretch, and only eat what I need to.

I'm excited though, I got Jillian Micheals' 30 Day Shred and 6 week six pack DVDS in the mail today, plus the yoga mat I wanted. So I can start doing some stuff every day in my room too, in case I don't have time to get to the gym. Plus the ab work is necessary!

30DS Level 2. BRUTAL.

I don't know if it's PMS or what but right now I just feel like throwing in the towel and crying. I won't give up but I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle.

TheBunneh 03-19-2012 09:03 PM

novangel  You are fighting the battle. That is ALL that matters.

PhillyGirl2012 03-19-2012 09:40 PM

novangle, bunneh completely summed it up. Vent whenever you need to, but there's always tomorrow...yes? and with tomorrow brings new light and another chance to do whatever you want. I'd like to add that you are sticking with 30ds and on level 2 now....you totally rock!

music, it's so nice to see you. I don't think I would have thought of working out on spring break. Sounds like you had a good time. Welcome back!

I chose a new avatar. I thought the message was very powerful and hits home for a lot of us.

Angel, you are doing fantastic! Why do you want to cry??? Maybe you need a day or 2 of rest. Movies? The park?

Welcome back Music :)

Philly, great great avitar. Suitable for fraiming.

Good night all....

musicismysoulfire 03-20-2012 02:35 AM

Angel, you're still in the fight ^.^ Take some rest days, relax and work yourself back up to the frontline ;)

I was hoping to walk a bit while I was home, but ah well ^.^ I had a great break! Now time for sleepless nights and gym time in the afternoons!

TheBunneh 03-20-2012 07:59 AM

I pretty much woke up crying yesterday. I was upset the whole day no matter how much I tried to talk myself down. TOM started last night, which I suppose explains it.

When I started working out yesterday, though, my mind shut off and I was just able to focus on my burning muscles. So I ended up working out longer than planned. I got through P90x Legs and Back then TurboFire Upper 20 and Fire 45.

I have no idea what I'll do today. It depends on if the ibuprofen kicks in and I stop feeling like there is an alien trying to claw out of my lower abdomen. :dizzy:

SanityNow 03-20-2012 10:12 AM

Morning all! :coffee2:

I'm psyched! I found my 'thing' ... a 15-week training schedule for walking a half-marathon. :running: Granted, 15-weeks will get me to walking the big one in July, but ... whatever. Starting on Sunday.

Have a great day !

PhillyGirl2012 03-20-2012 10:32 AM

Sanity, share...what's the program?

novangle, you have it bad like my best girlfriend. I'm so sorry I can't suggest anything. You did have relief when u did your workout. Did you feel better for the rest of the day?

We talked about the "play" factor yesterday. What other activities do you like to do that you can sub for your cardio?

TheBunneh 03-20-2012 11:30 AM

Santiy That sounds great! Good luck!

Philly Did you mean to address that to me?

The ibuprofen finally kicked in. I'm planning to do Bodystrikes this afternoon, but I will take it easy if need be.

Sorry and yes that was for you. I wrote it on my tablet while trying to get dressed for work. Oh, I'm glad the meds are kicking in. My girlfriend really goes through it too and I really have to stop her from doubling up on the meds. She says "its not working and I'm gonna take some more".

I found it on about.com Walking; I don't know how to include the exact link.....there's great stuff on the site...

There's also a 'Google map pedometer' that you can get through the site...you type in your city and state and a map of your neighborhood comes up and you can trace a route and it gives you the mileage...

TheBunneh 03-20-2012 03:13 PM

Ah, okay. It seemed like it went with my post, but wasn't certain. I miss some pretty obvious things at times so I always double check. ;)

It's been a long time since I've had to deal with pains this bad. I should have gotten up in the middle of the night for a dose of ibuprofen but didn't expect to have so much pain before morning. I'm also a little over half a week early. (Which pretty much never happens, if anything I'm usually late.) Maybe my body is protesting the snow storms we've been getting!

I did feel better the rest of the evening yesterday. Though part of that might have been the fact I was too exhausted to really think about much of anything. :dizzy: But I'm sure I also released a lot of tension when I let my brain slip into zombie-workout-mode.

PhillyGirl2012 03-20-2012 03:25 PM

Well I am VERY glad I stayed off of my foot yesterday. It is feeling much better today. Tonight workout 3 is on schedule. I've not had a chance to preview it so it will be a crazy workout session.

The weather is so very nice here today that I did go for a lunchtime walk.

Ok, gotta get back to work.
