Hi all!
I've entered a 10k race for August and I'm currently on a 8 week training programme for it. I can tell I'm going to enjoy the programme, purely because it's focused, doable and if I don't keep to it I'll look like a fool on the day!
But my question is this: How many races would you recommend doing in succession? Or in other words how long would you give yourself before doing a race again?
With the training I'm doing it seems a bit weird to build up my strength and fitness for a race then just run leisurely afterwards. So in my case would you recommend I keep running like it's a week before the 10k or go back to the beginning to try and improve my time? Or should I completely stop and rest for a while before trying it again from the beginning?
Any advice would be appreciated
