Default New running shoes old insole.

I just bought a new pair of running shoes, I tried them yesterday and my toes fell asleep after mile 3.
The last time I change my shoes it happened the same , so I got my old insole and replace them into whit the new ones, so basically I was using new shoes whit old insoles ... can I do it again , or I should tried to run more to see what happened. Any ideas...

Thanks

I could be wrong but toes falling asleep would make me think you need to go up half a size in your shoes?

Numb toes could also mean that you are tying your runners too tight and what beerab said: a half size too small... I always take a half size bigger in running shoes...

I always take my insoles out of my running shoes to put my orthotics insoles in, so it is basically what you did... I only change my orthotics every 2-3 years....
