Default How to stop feeling unmotivated and sluggish!

Hello ladies! I have a confession! I have been doing badly for a while now and have been feeling so unmotivated to exercise. I go to spinning classes almost everyday, and recently I have realized that I have had no motivation to keep up with the class. I feel so lethargic, and somewhat apathetic. Can someone help me get into the right state of mind?

Also, can you tell me how you deal with exercise during that TOM?

Thanks in advance!

I suggest finding a new activity or class you love. It sounds like your class may be getting too mundane for you and maybe changing it up can spark some new energy levels. Try Zumba, Kick Boxing classes, or maybe a new level or different kind of Spinning class. Hope you get back into the groove of things!!

I love spinning, but I can see where daily spinning would get monotonous. I most like the social atmosphere of my class and gain a lot from it. One problem with spinning is that there really are no goals to set, and I find setting and reaching goals very motivational. Try cycling outdoors or running. With these you can set milage and/or speed goals that may motivate you.

Exercising during TOM? I don't know, I've never had a problem. If cramps are a problem I've always found that the extra intake of oxygen actually helps.

I struggle with this from time to time as well. It seems to be when I don't drink enough and get dehydrated. It's just a suggestion, but maybe try upping your fluids a bit.

You know that I think you may be right. I think I'm just getting bored, but I love it ( it is hard to explain)! I'll try a different instructor and new classes! Thanks!!

Yea I agree with you! I love spinning, but I think I'd rather go cycling outdoors! The spin rooms are really loud, and I think I may compare myself to others too much! I'll buy a bike and do it outdoors. I'll cut back my spinning classes weekly! The whole TOM thing is because that iis when I feel ESPECIALLY lethargic lol! Thank you!

You may be right! I don't really drink that much when I workout. I'm probably going to change up my routine and drink more water! Good luck! Thanks!
