I found "the zone" today!

  • So I have benn doing C25K on and off for about a month now. Prior to day the longest I have jogged was six min continuous. Today I set a goal to jog for 10 min without stopping, and I did 15!! Now I have always read about people getting in the zone and pushing through, but I have never been able to do that. So I started jogging today and thought I might die after about 6 minutes and then out of nowhere it just got easier and I felt like I had hit that much talked about zone!
    I know 15 min isnt that long but it is by far the longest I have ever done.
  • Being a past runner, I know how a few minutes can exhaust the body. Good job.
  • 15 mins = 1 mile. You just ran your first mile sista! WOOT!

  • I want to find that elusive "zone." A "runner's high" would be really nice too LOL
  • Me too! I'm very jealous! I made it 2.5 miles yesterday but I have never yet felt in a zone or gotten a runner's high. I just push through!
  • Wow! I was so happy with running for 15 min I didn't even realize I had gone a mile! I couldn't even do that when we ran the mile at school
