Default Same workout but started to sweat earlier than usual. Why?

I think I *may* know the answer but I want to ask you guys what you think.

For some reason I started sweating more quickly when working out this morning than I normally do. I normally start to sweat pretty hard about 30 minutes into cardio (when I increase intensity) but this morning, it started after 15 minutes. And I wasn't working out any harder than normal since I was still in the warm-up zone.

I normally work out after work around 6pm. And I'll be drinking water all day and have a snack around 3:30. But today I got to the gym around 8am, no water before hand (just during) and only had a cup of coffee. No food. It's also that TOM for me. I worked out yesterday morning roughly under the same circumstances (10 am vs 8 am) but sweating early on wasn't an issue.

Perhaps I was just in a more weakened state? It just frustrated me because I felt SO out of shape and I was barely 25% into my cardio workout.

Thanks in advance for any opinions you have!

Well I know I seriously get fatigued around my period and not eating or drinking much water can make me get worn out faster. Sounds like you have multiple reasons you might be sweating sooner. I wouldn't worry about it.

I've been told that as you get more fit, your body adapts to make you more efficient at cooling you, thus you sweat more and sooner...

Yeah, this. I sweat way more now than I did when I first started. I drip now! It's awful, but I noticed this Summer it did keep me cooler at the amusement park.

I never heard this before and because I was so fascinated, I googled this. And wow, who knew?? LOL I feel better now. And I definitely feel my fitness level increasing. I'm so glad that I didn't let it get me down because I was SO CLOSE to leaving the gym early thinking my body was trying to tell me, "Not today, Shannon. You suck. Go home!".

Secretly, I love sweating. I like feeling it run down my neck and seeing the front and back of my shirt wet on top. After I work out I run to the bathroom to check it out. LOL I'm sure the guys in the gym think it's disgusting (fat girl sweating) and although I think about that, I don't really care. I'm not there to make friends.

Thanks for your responses. You've made my day!

Yep I've heard that too .... the fitter you are the better your cooling systems .... and you sweat more and in more places!
