Hit my head: Should I exercise?

  • This morning I fell on a patch of ice and tell on my back, smacking my head against the ground. I felt a little fuzzy/dizzy for a while but didn't vomit. I saw the school nurse and am currently icing the sore spot. She doesn't think there's any issue or danger as long as I don't throw up.

My question: my usual workout consists of about 25 minutes of cardio and some strength training in circuits. I'd really like to work out today to stave off the effects of TOM and a buffet dinner last night, but I don't want to do something stupid. Should I modify my workout (or skip today) to be careful?
  • Maybe just do walking? and skip the weights.
  • Poor thing......darn ice. I think you should skip it for tonight just to be safe.
  • You could have a concussion...seek medical attention before working out. Hope everything turns out ok.
  • I slipped on ice and hit my head last Friday. I was a bit woozy and had a headache but blew it off. That was a mistake. I was in the ER on Weds getting a CT scan where I learned that I strained my neck and got a concussion. I am feeling miserable and have the worst headache. My advice would be to take it easy.
