Keep track of your own monthly exercise here! (December)
During my cardio one day I was thinking how interesting it would be to know how many minutes I exercise in the period of a month.
So I am posting my exercise minutes daily in this threat and you are welcome to keep your data here too, so we can keep ourselves motivated. I started it last April and I was shocked to learn that in 3 weeks I worked out over 3,000 minutes!!!! What a motivation!!! It has helped me to keep going, because I want to see the minutes go up each day in this threat. You can even break the months down and learn how many minutes you worked out each week (and use the info to analyze your weight loss in that period) or maybe after 12 months you could add all the numbers you’ve got monthly and see how many minutes you exercised during the whole year. You don’t really have to post every day, as long as you keep track of the minutes from previous days and post it at once. It is up to you... * Make sure you get your minutes from your OWN last post. I will try to exercise though - but it is my vacation and if I can’t do it I will not stress over it (or at least I will try - I am already freaking out about my weight gain and lack of exercise) But I’ll be back on January... grrr.... it is so hard to get back in the groove, after you relax for a while... But I’ve done it in the past 2 years and I’ll do it again!!! I will need you guys to motivate me when I am back... Please come to my rescue!!!! :^: |

I think I'll give this a try. I'm not going to set a specific goal since this is my first monthly exercise thread and this month will probably be a little different than usual since I will be traveling to my parents' house for Christmas.
12/1 - 60 min. Bodypump and 45 min. treadmill > 105 min. total 12/2 12/3 12/4 - 60 min. Bodycombat > 165 min. total 12/5 12/6 - Frustrated because I should be at BodyCombat now but I have stupid bronchitis and can't breathe. :-( |

I figure I need to start checking in here for accountability. Only beginning week 2 of calorie counting and have been on and off - inconsistent - with exercise. I am not in shape at all, have no strength, no endurance but I need to start moving!
My current goal - to keep it realistic - is to just make sure I get my butt on my elliptical! I need to be doing this at least 4 to 5 times per week, at least 30 mins each. I don't even want to talk about distance, its enough if I get on there! Today burned 392 calories - 35 minutes. I always feel like the calories burned should be higher when I get stop but at least I didn't sit on the couch for that thirty minutes. Lets hope this thread keeps me motivated and I keep checking in here every day! |
