Keep track of your own monthly exercise here! (October)
During my cardio one day I was thinking how interesting it would be to know how many minutes I exercise in the period of a month.
So I am posting my exercise minutes daily in this threat and you are welcome to keep your data here too, so we can keep ourselves motivated. I started it last April and I was shocked to learn that in 3 weeks I worked out over 3,000 minutes!!!! What a motivation!!! It has helped me to keep going, because I want to see the numbers of the minutes go up each day in this threat. You can even break the months down and learn how many minutes you worked out each week (and use the info to analyze your weight loss in that period) or maybe after 12 months you could add all the numbers you’ve got and see how many minutes you exercised during the whole year. You don’t really have to post every day, as long as you keep track of the minutes from previous days and post it at once. It is up to you... * Make sure you get your minutes from your OWN last post. You can see my threat from September here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/exer...september.html This is an example of how I am doing it: Before 30 Monday (May 3) 30 Total 60 Before 60 Tuesday (May 4) 45 Total 105 :strong: Lets MOVE ladies!!! :tread: |
Yay!! I can't wait! This was so motivational for me to get in the exercise time last month!!
|
I love this! Thanks!

Hi Ladies,
I want to join you. I need something to keep me motivated. I need to start again on my weight loss journey. I keep starting and stopping. So hopefully, I can stick to do this. |
You guys are all welcome!!!
To me what helps is that I look forward to post my minutes everyday.... to think I will have something to post here helps me drive to the gym and sometimes I push myself few more minutes thinking about how nice will be when I am posting... I am glad you guys are here... As you all know, anything that can motivate even a little with our exercise is welcome. Let's do it ladies!!! |

Have you found that breaking up your workout schedule has helped your overall goals? Any help you can offer would be appreciated.:) In any event...impressive...to say the least! |

Hi joyfulloser
Thank you!!!! Someone asked me the same question on a thread of some month ago... Next month I will start writing which activity I’ve done for the day I usually do at least one hour lifting weight/day - alternating between lower/up body. All the other minutes after that one hour posted is devoted to cardio (different kinds, depending on the day). Yesterday, for example: Morning (BodyPump class) - one hour and 30 minutes on one kind of stair climber they have at the gym, plus 10 minutes in another stair climber they have with arms movement and then 40 minutes on a stationary bike. Afternoon Spinning class - 50 minutes plus 28 minutes on the same stationary bike I've worked in the morning. 3 weeks/month I have Wednesdays and Thursdays off in the morning, so I can workout morning and evening. All the other days I can only make to the gym after work. I recently change to a gym that has classes and it made me go to there more often, because I really enjoy the classes. The reason I go to the gym that often is to avoid staying home and eating. It occupies my time and works my body at the same time, so it is a win/win situation. Besides, it makes me feel awesome!!! If I skip the gym I feel terrible and guilty. Coming here and logging my minutes keep me motivated and I hope it motivates other people too... You are doing great! Hope to see your posts here often!!! Bele Before - 1,705 Thursday (October 14) evening 75 Total - 1,780 |

So I this morning before coming to work I tried Body Step class at the gym. OMG!!! never again! That lady is insane!!! I could not follow all the step moves and I was super lost...
I guess I will stick with Spinning and cardio machines... After done Body Step, Body Attack, Body Jam and Zumba, I found out I can not keep up with classes where you have to follow the instructor with counting moves for cardio. That is just not my thing. I still want to try the Body Combat and KickBoxing classes though. So far the only class I enjoy is Body Pump. I attend to every single one I can go. |
I think it's good you're trying them all out... at least you're finding out the ones you don't want to do! I'm not really a class person because I'm always the one trying to keep up with the steps or moves... I'm not that coordinated, I guess, when I have to copy what others are doing. But what you've said is making me think, maybe I've just never tried the right classes and need to continue to trying stuff out!

Today was my first day working out to my walk away the pounds. I did 1 mile which is good for me....huffing and puffing.

Hi toastedsmoke,
You are right... you need to keep trying... I am sure there wont be a class you will follow right away... but you might find something you like more than others and that maybe there are something you might be willing to follow. I want to try them all, before just say I don’t like it... how can I know if I never tried? I love Spinning. But I do realize it is a hard core class, so maybe it isn’t to anyone. Keep in mind though you can do it on your own speed and might get better with time. (at least with Spinning you don’t look lost in the middle of all those people, looking goofself at the miror-LOL) I always thought I would love yoga and was so disappointed when I tried and didn’t like it... It didn’t make me give up on the other classes though. Boot camp isn’t my thing too. I guess I am more a weight training kind of girl, that’s why I enjoy Body Pump. My next step will be try to find a time for the Body Combat class, which is suppose to work with strike, punch an kick. After that I want to try Kickboxing. They are cardio classes, but I’ll give it a try anyway. I am trying to find a fun way to do my cardio. |
