Default pedometer vs nike plus

I was looking at getting a pedometer (this one) and then a girl at work was showing me Nike Plus. I guess it is the same idea expect I can log it all on the computer.

The one thing I liked about the pedometer was that it could count aerobics? Sometimes I like to do the Walk Away The Pounds video so having something that would calculator the calories for that would be nice just so I can get idea of what I am burning.

The Nike Plus is only $10 or so more - and I already have a compatible ipod.

What are you thoughts? suggestions?

I guess the one downfall of the Nike plus is that I have to be wearing my ipod... but if i am running outside I will be (probably do more walking then running haha but we will see).

I don't know anything about the Nike Plus, but if you're wanting a pedometer that can have it's info logged into the computer you might want to check this one out.

It's the one that I have and except for the clip, I love it. I find it to be very accurate and find it interesting to see how are I'm going. Then again, I only use it to walk, not run. But again this may be something you'll want to check out.

I know, but I use a Mac and it doesn't work on a Mac.

The Nike+ is fun, and it is neat to see your distance/pace. Plus there are online challenges that you join to compete against others.

Nike + is awesome! I love it. I like the feedback while running, and then I love seeing the graphs of my runs on the website. Plus there are hundreds of thousands of challenges you can join on the site too....very cool, and very motivating.

I also love the Nike+. I have a pedometer too that I wear at work sometimes, but for when I run or jog, I love the Nike+. I bet it would even work with the Walk away the pounds videos. I haven't tried that though. You don't have to wear the ipod while you're working out it just has to be close. I don't wear it when I'm on the treadmill. I just set it on the console. When I walk/run outside I have an armband that I use. I'm a very visual person. So I love seeing the runs graphed out and seeing the improvement. It's been lot's of fun for me!! It also keeps track of calories burned based on your weight.

I bought the Nike Plus! Tried to today for the first time... was a bit disappointed that it REALLY needs to be set right. I don't know anywhere that is 400m to set my walking/running distance so I guess I am going to have to go a gym.

But I certainly figure the average person must walk faster then 28mintue per km.... I know I sure do and that is what it said I was walking.... and I was walking fast with a few bursts of running, lol.

So I guess I better take it to the gym and set it! But other then that, I really like it so far!

I see you are in Canada but how about the high school track? The ones here in Michigan are 400m.

Yah! We even have a just a track here for anyone to use so I was going to take it there today. But after some research it sounds like I didn't have it in my shoe right. Sounds like it is pretty picky and has to be logo side up and in there securely and parallel to the ground. I was too cheap to buy something to clip it to my shoe so it was in there floating around and apparently that is bad! So I am going to go buy the little clip and try it again and see if I get better results. I expect I will.

I have the nike plus and love it. We should start a 3fatchick challenge. I also have a pedometer because I like to track steps as well as miles. Kathy

I use USB tri axis pedometer from KYTO factory, it is awesome with below features:
Three-D pedometer, USB feature, 60 days memory, Steps/distance counter, Calorie burned counter, Stopwatch, Alarm, Clock.

After workout, i can connect it to PC, and it will reveal the graph of heart rate. Also i can store the datas for 60 days.

I really love it. if you want to get it, you can contact: amy at kytoelectronic dot com.

You will see how nice it is when you using.
