I did it!

  • For the first time in my life, I did REAL push ups today! On my hands and toes! Okay, so I only did 5 (2 sets of push ups--I did 2 the first time and 3 the second time before dropping to my knees) but I'm still very excited! I've always had really strong legs but a flabby upper body.

I've been doing the Slim in 6 workouts and I really feel myself getting stronger each day.
  • awesome!!!!
  • Yah! I will be glad when I can do push-ups!
  • Congratulations!!! Keep us posted as to how many you do the next time, and the next, etc. I'd be curious to see the time frame to get from doing 2-3 consecutively to doing, say 10? 20?

I'm far from doing one myself, so you're an inspiration! Keep up the great work!
  • Congrats on the push-ups...

The last couple of months I've been getting down on my bedroom floor when I'm getting dressed in the morning and doing push ups, I'm doing 15-20 no problem now, but the first few times I was doing only 5 or so... and I consider myself pretty upper body strong... So practice does make it easier... I also noticed that my upper chest is really showing a difference... I do them when I'm waiting for my deodorant or face cream to dry, when I would otherwise be just standing around...
  • YAY! congrats! I'm jealous.
  • Good job!
  • Thanks, everyone!

Today I did 4 real ones in the first set and 5 in the second. They are SUPER hard! Push ups on my knees are a breeze now!
