Don't be too sure about running. I just finished week 7 of the C25K program-- I'm in my late 40s and hadn't ever run AT ALL in at least 20 years. I thought I was INCAPABLE and yet now I do it and am loving it.
On the other hand, walking is great exercise too and you may prefer it.
