Exercise Accomplishments!

  • I know we have the mini-goals thread, but I'd love to know...what athletic things have you done lately that you NEVER thought possible?

    I'll start. Today, I ran 7 miles. Seven! And more than that, the first 3.5 were sprint intervals (4mph walk for 2 min, 9mph run for 1 minute), followed by another 3.5 miles at a steady 5.5-6mph pace. SEVEN MILES, at an average pace of 5.4 mph. SEVEN!

    (seriously, seven! Or, just over TWO 5ks).

    What did you do that you thought was impossible?

    I never thought I would be able to exercise on the elliptical for 50 min!
    When I first started it was a STRUGGLE to go 15!
  • I remember the first time I got on the elliptical - I don't think I even made it to five minutes...

    Congrats on working your way up to 50!
  • I ran a sub 40 min 5 k... 38 mins actually, although that's not really fast for most, it`s quite fast for me
