Advice On HIIT????

  • I have been reading alot about it and heard on TV some celebritys use it but i still cant grasp it and was wandering if any one here uses this type if exercise for weight loss?

Any if any one coulkd brief me a plan to try out..........Heres my situation.

At presant im unemployed so pretty much have all day to may self , i cant pay for a gym right now so all i have to work with is my exercise bike and the space of my flat.
I am not one to go outside and run etc....well not right now in such cold weather and while im so heavy im just not confident enough for that just yet.
  • There are "formal" ways of doing it but I stumbled upon it by necessity--when I first started running I simply could NOT run very far. So, I would run as fast as I could as long as I could and then walk it out. Then, do it again. I found out several months later this is absolutely the most efficient way to burn fat! Yay! Who knew? HIIT is where it's at--and best of all, it is doable for anyone.

Get on that bike and pedal like there is no tomorrow until you can't go any more and then ease off. Catch your breath and go at it again. Good for you to be checking this out!
  • I also do my "own thing." Pedal as hard and fast as you can and to the point where you feel you can't go on and you can't carry on any sort of conversation at all. Do this for about 30 seconds. Then, rest for about 2 minutes and repeat. Do this for at least 6 intervals. I usually do that about 6 times and then, I resume my normal routine of a regular cardio workout. When you do this, it releases a chemical in your body that makes you lose weight 3x as fast, so if you do that for 20 minutes, the idea is that it's similar to doing it for an hour. I still haven't found that to be exactly true, but it's something I like to incorporate into my routine.
  • Here is a great site for HIIT information.... You can do it with any type of exercise biking, running, walking, even weight training intervals...
