Default zumba for fatties?

I am thinking about signing up for zuma... I am VERY overweight, and I am kind of nervous about it. Is it for all types of levels... or is it super hard????

Thanks for any information in advance!!!!

Casey

Hi Casey...

I began going to Zumba a few months ago...very nervous about doing it...my biggest fear was fooling up and embaressing myself in front of others...so even people at a smaller weight have insecurities about these classes...lol.

The best advice I can give you is go with an open mind...remember to have fun and not focus too too much on the actual steps...it will come over time. My first few times I felt like giving up..because of my clumsiness/ lack of cooridination but it does and will get better!.

The best thing about Zumba is that it is so much fun that its like you're not working out! I have fallen in love with it!!!

In my class there are ALL ages and sizes..actually there was a new girl that started tonight..about the same height/weight as yourself..and she asked me outside the class if it was "hard" and what it was like. I told her the exact same thing that i told you and every time I looked at her she was smiling and having such a good time. I asked her half ways if she was enjoying it and she said "Yes!"

Just remember to have fun and go at your own pace!!! I think you'll enjoy it!

I'm pretty sure they have DVDs, too. So if you want to "preview" the class, you could always buy one of the DVDs and try it out at home first? Good luck and let us know how it goes for you!
