Eliptical machine is great on my feet, my feet tire easily on the treadmill. Either one is a great workout, maybe 20 on the Eliptical and 10 on the treadmill to break it up.

I have a love/hate relationship with the H-elliptical! It actually helps my hips and knees feel better. If I am having an achy day and I get on that for 30 minutes, the hip pain goes away. it also helps lower my blood sugar. How cool is that? I also love that I go twice the distance, burn more calories and sweet more in less time it takes me on the treadmill. What do I hate about it? It's hard! LOL! But once I get past the first 15 minute's I am usually ok.

Just remember that if you can't do as much on the elliptical or treadmill as you wish you could, you will build up endurance. Personally, I like to start with a small goal and add on. Maybe start and see if you can do 20 minutes. If you can't, don't give up! You will get there. I used to literally be so heavy I couldn't walk for more than 5 minutes. So I started by walking 5 minutes and then built up to 10 and then 20 and so on. Now I can easily do 55 minutes of cardio if I am motivated.

If you find you can do 20 minutes, maybe go for 25.

I like the treadmill better than the elliptical but I only do fast walking, I don't jog so it doesn't bother my knees personally. But I think either is a great work out.

Good luck!
