Seen on shirts at races (or other events)

  • I just completed my first half marathon Saturday and one thing that kept me going was reading the slogans on the backs of other runners' shirts. Some of my favorites: for a half marathon--Half Lazy, Half Crazy; on a lady nowhere near the front of the pack--Race Official-Do Not Pass; and my favorite--DLF>DNF>>DNS (Dead Last Finish is better than Did Not Finish which is better than Did Not Start)

What are some of your favorites?
  • I have one that says, "I'm so far behind I thought I was first."

Congrats on finishing the half marathon!
  • Can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'll keep my eyes open at my first half in a few weeks.
  • One of my son's high school cross country shirts said...."Our work-out is your punishment"

Angie and I saw 2 guys, leaving the beer corrall at the 5K we did a month ago, with this on the backs of their shirts...."I thought she said RUM...Carlsbad 5K"
