Someone mentioned squat thrusts in the Tabatas thread in 100 lb. Club. I thought they meant the movement in the video (posted in the first post), which involves a squat followed by an overhead press with dumbbells. But when I asked a friend, she said that squat thrusts involve a squat followed by bending over and putting your hands on the floor and then jumping your feet back into a "push-up" position. Is that what they are?
So when Amanda mentioned that she jumps at the top, she means she jumps when she's moving back up from the squat, after doing the push-up-y thing, right? (wow, describing this stuff is hard!)
Thanks for the help. You two both had seriously tough gym teachers--I think chin ups were the worst exercise we had to do in PE.
When I was doing the tabata in that thread, I was calling what the girl in the video was doing squat thrusts cause to me that's what they were haha. You squatted, and then thrusted your hands up. I didn't know burpees were called squat thrusts.
