Default Exercising during that time of the month

For the ladies out there, how do you exercise when you have your period? For the first three or four days, I really can't move very much, so the Wii Fit is out for me.

I find that moving helps relieve some of the pain. Yoga, stretching is good but I'll do running as well. I ran today and I'm at the beginning.

I usually avoid exercise on the day with the really heavy flow - other than that, I am fine. I use a tampon plus a pad for extra protection (just in case).

Good point, Jassica, walking does often make me feel better when I'm crampy. Now to convince myself to get off the couch instead of just lying here feeling like Jabba the Hut

Usually I assume the Jabba the Hut position as well, but this morning, despite cramps and a crabby mood, I actually got on the treadmill for 15 minutes before breakfast. This afternoon I'm crampier than I was earlier today, and my energy level is very low. I'm usually very lethargic and tired the first three days. But today is my regular upper body weight training day and I really like it, so I'm about to try it despite my fatigue. Getting back on the treadmill doesn't sound very appealing at all, but I will for five minutes to warm up before picking up the weights.

I just make myself do it anyway and then take a long hot shower afterwards. Usually I end up feeling better. I also use both a tampon and a pad for extra protection.
