Default sick sick, should I go to the gym?

I haven't been to the gym in over a week and a half
I've had the cold from ****, it had all the symptoms of the flu.

I feel like I was making such good progress and I completely messed it up. Or the cold's affects did.

I've felt better for two days now and I desperately want to go the gym... do you think it's wise?

Well it's a Dr. question but IMO -- once you feel better, why not? Just take it easy the first day or two....

I wouldn't go until you know for sure you aren't contagious. Are you still taking any medication. Make sure it doesn't make you feel too drugged to work out. Hope you feel better.

NO DO NOT GO! It is not right when you have a cold or the flu to go out in public. Colds and flu are catching. That is why we have so many colds going around. People should stay home and not spread their germs around.

I agree. I work at a library, and people bring their sick children in all the time, and they proceed to wheeze and sniffle on all of the little kids books. Sometimes I feel like saying, "I bet he got his cold from some IRRESPONSIBLE JERK who let their brat run around here hacking all over everything!"

Should you go? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. When you exercise your blood is circulating and thus so is are your germs. Not everyone has a strong immune system. How would you feel if someone was coughing a lung up and then used the same set of free weights you did?? Be responsible. Don't spread your germs if you don't have to.
