Default Legs so sore...am I supposed to run through the pain?

Hi guys,

Well, this whole week I've been exercising - did JM 30-day shred on Monday and Tuesday, speed-walked 45 min Wednesday and ran for 20 minutes on treadmill, speed-walked this morning 45 min again.

Now my legs are SORE. I was planning on running on the treadmill again for 20 min tonight, but am wondering if I'm supposed to rest them or if it's bad to run through the soreness?

Thanks!

Depends on the kind of soreness. How much of a ramp up in exercise was this for you?

In general if it is muscle soreness from working hard and not injury, light exercise will help you feel better faster. In which case I would probably guess walking at a moderate pace instead of running or speedwalking.

Well, I used to run and exercise quite a bit, but took about two months off, so this is getting back into it after two months.

The soreness isn't THAT bad. They are sore, but it's more they feel sooo tired. Maybe I'll just take a night off tonight and do it tomorrow. I worked hard today already!

I asked my best friends mom, who is an experienced runner, and she says you should probably just power walk. Well, if it's just soreness as in you exercised well the day before, try applying Bengay where it hurts and power walking. If you feel injured, don't risk it.

When I'm walking like Robo-Cop two days after strength training my legs and nearly find getting up from a chair impossible nothing helps like a good long walk!
