Default Biofreeze okay instead of ice?

I have been diagnoised with trochanteric bursitis..here's my question..

I can't really get an ice pack on at the office because I'm up and around alot - plus it's not an easy place to keep an ice pack.

Can I use some Biofreeze instead of an ice pack while at the office to assist with inflammation?

my chiro gives out free sample packs of biofreeze and I absolutely love it when my back is hurting. I don't know what trochanteric bursitis is but from what I've read online about biofreeze it's supposed to not only help with pain but aid in reducing swelling and inflammation. I'd say it couldn't hurt to give it a try and see what happens.

Why not put a call into your doc's office to check? He's going to know your condition and be able to make better recommendations based on that.
