Good Morning Everyone! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif
Barbg-Well Life Lift is very similar to Body Flex but I've read that the breath is gentler then BF and it's supposed to really work your muscles. I started with BF years ago and then switched to O because I kept getting sore throats from BF. I haven't gotten my Life Lift tapes yet but when I do and look at them I'll let you know more. There's a website out there too if you're interested. It's www.lifelift.com and the founder is Rashelle Haines. The thing that tripped me out was that when I went to order the tapes I decided to phone it in because the website didn't have that secure symbol on it and I left my name a number and Rashelle herself called me in person. It totally tripped me out when I heard her on the other end and we talked for serveral minutes. Talk about one on one customer service :D! Well that was the first good impression I got from Life Lift so far. Check it out if you get time and I'll let you know once I get my tapes which should be on Friday. How is everyone else doing? I hope everyone is staying healthy and getting some O time in. But please post to let us know how you're doing I know it gets really busy but it gets so lonely on here sometimes :(! I've done O in the mornings everyday and I'm feeling so good. I hope I look as good as I feel I would surely get a Valentine if I did ;). Take care and enjoy Valentines Day :). ------------------ Rose |
Okay Rose You've got me hooked.I've spent most of the night on the LifeLift site. I can't wait until you get your video to hear how you like it. At my age I'm especially interested in the accupressure facelift!!! I signed up for the newsletter and the disscussion list, so I'm ready to get going. As I've said before, I had started doing aerobic deep breathing years ago before I had read about any of these programs. I have also been very into motivational tape, ans subliminial message tapes. Life Lift sounds like it may combine the two. You think???
------------------ Barbg 288/258/156 |
Hi everyone!
Barbg-I'm really excited too :D! Yes I think Life Lift combines the two. I was really interested in the "facelift" part of the program too. It's never too early to tone those face muscles :D! I did the same thing with the newsletter and discussion list but I'm confused about that because when I tried to enter a group it wouldn't let me? I must be doing something wrong. How did you go about it? I've been getting the newsletters though? Anyway I just think it's so neat the way Rashelle actually called me when I ordered the program. I felt very honored to speak with her and she told me that you can call her anytime an she'll call you back. Don't get me wrong I love Oxycise but I'm just so interested in this Life Lift program that I figured why not get it and try it and I can use both. I'll make sure I'll let you know when I receive the tapes. Probably not until Friday though. Take care and keep breathing! Okay I did my workout this morning L4. I'm feeling really good now :)! I really do love O because of the way it makes you feel. So much more energetic and healthy. I'll check back later to see who else posts. I know you're out there so please stop in and say HI! ------------------ Rose |
Hello everybody - I'm baacckk! Sorry I have been away for awhile. February has definitely been an icky month for me and exercising. I don't think I've done it ONCE! So bad! I've just been REALLY busy. I am a member of Toastmasters, and am on the leadership side which means that I go to tons of meetings, and this month has just been FILLED with them! Evenings have been spent just trying to keep my eyes open long enough to get into bed!
Tonight I am going to do some O! though! I can definitely feel the difference from not doing it. But, my schedule should be letting up and I should start having more time at home in the pm. Of course I would love to do it in the mornings! Rose - I read on the other thread your suggestion of starting a thread for ALL breathers! I think that would bring in a lot more people! I think Oxycise is great, but to have a forum where people can compare successes would be wonderful! Also, sad day for me... Dale Earnhardt was the reason I got into watching NASCAR. Been a fan for two years and have missed only one race. Been in tears off and on today. Death is something one never gets used to... Sorry to end on a sad note, but I just needed to express that... take care everybody! ------------------ Juliette 170/170/135 |
"A Small Victory" Guess what!!! Yesterday I was able to grab my heel in the "quad stretch" position in the L2 Tape!!! First time, but I knew If I kept at it long enough I'd finally make it. Now on to the left heel!!!
------------------ Barbg 288/258/156 |
Hi everyone!
I'm sorry I've been so neglectful :(! I've been so busy and this will be a short post too I'm afraid. Well I'm doing great with my O. I get up early every morning and workout. It's really paying off. Barbg-Congrats on that victory of grabbing your heal :)! You are doing so good. I've also noticed how limber I've become since I've been doing O! When I don't do it I sure can tell the difference. Juliette-I have a friend on these boards who is a big NASCAR fan too. I think it's so sad :(! I hope you are doing okay. Post when you can. The next thread I start will be for all breathers if that's okay with everyone? I figure we might as well finish this one up first. I hope you all are doing well! Post when you all can. ------------------ Rose |
Ugh. Two days without O!. Thought I was getting better. Life has just been sooo stressful... work mostly... work in a training department and we are booked solid and I have been putting these sessions together left and right. Went home Wednesday and just SLEPT! Yesterday I just didn't feel up to it. Don't know if it's February or that time of the month or what...
Asked my boyfriend to help motivate me. I have been helping him to quit smoking (buying him the patch, being a buffer when he craves a cig, etc.) so I asked him to help me to lose weight. Last night he took on the role of my personal drill sargeant and told me that I had to start liking rabbit food (I hate salads - for no other reason than they taste so bland! Also don't like cheese, which most places heap on their salads). Anyway, I hope this works... I need something to tell me to JUST DO IT! I wish I knew what was motivating me in January. I was doing so well - at least 4 to 5 days a week - and now, nothing... Hopefully I'll be able to post again on Monday to show something different!!! ------------------ Juliette 170/170/135 |
Good Morning Everyone :D!
Sorry I haven't been posting. It's been so busy I just haven't had the time. I have been doing my O! though and I love it. O! is about the only thing that really works for me. I just got two tapes from Life Lift and the breathing is very similar to Body Flex except it's a bit slower. I think the toning tape with the resistance cords will be a good one though so I might do that in the evenings. Juliette-Please don't get discouraged. Everyone goes through those phases. We all have times when we just don't have the energy or life just won't let us do what we want to. I find that it's easier for me to get up earlier in the mornings and do my O! I did L4 this morning and it really makes me feel so much better when I do it first thing. So maybe you should try that :)! But just hang in there and you'll get back on track. Barbg-I got my Life Lift tapes Weds. I looked at the intro tape and the breathing is very similar to BF but she has some better positions and the toning tape looks really good so I might try to do the toning tape in the evenings and still do my O! in the mornings. I'll let you know if I notice any difference once I start the Life Lift :D! Where is everyone else? Check in when you can and don't forget to do some breathing no matter what program it is just get that oxygen in your blood :D! ------------------ Rose |
Juliette Welcome to the Club!!! If there is anything I have learned from over almost a year of doing O it's that I go in cycles, Very Very motivated doing o sometimes 2 or three times a day, and then I'll go two or three weeks and do nothing, The great part about O is that because it is such low impact that you can always start back where you left off. Not like some exercise programs, that if you miss a couple of weeks, you have to start back at the beginning to build up your stamina. That is why I know that with Oxycise I have found a program I can use fro the rest of my life.
Rose, I'm still interested in learning more about Life Lift. Expecially the facelift part. I joined the LL Topica BB and it has been pretty interesting. If anyone else is lurking around here, we'd love to have you join in, Till next time KOB!!! ------------------ Barbg 288/258/156 |
hi! i'm currently Oing and following the WW plan. Could anyone (who's tried ww) tell me how many activity points would be in one O! video? would it count as light, moderate, or heavy exercise?
thanks! :0) daisy 175/148/109 |
Hi Daisy...sorry I don't know the answer to that question.
Rose...I'm interested in the LL tapes...since you've been doing the first one maybe you can tell me...are there any exercises that would be had on the knees? Like, do you have to get on your knees a lot, or "squat" or a lot of stuff that puts stress on the knees? I can "overlook" one or even two positions but if there is a lot of knee activity I can't do them! Let me know. Which do you like best, LL or O? I'm still coughing some. If I take a deep breath I have a coughing fit so I'm still no Oxycising. Can't wait to get back to it!!! MEME |
Good Morning everyone!
Well I've been doing my O every morning and I feel great :D! MEME-I will always like O better I think. Just because the breathing is so gentle. The LL is allot like BF in the breathing area it's a little less forceful though. She has allot of different exercises then BF had and there are allot of them done standing or sitting on a chair. Of course there are a few on the knees but you can choose not to do those. When I bought the intro tape I also got the strength training tape with resistant bands and that's a good workout too. I do think that the O breath works better for me though. I seem to get more oxygen in my body with O then with LL or BF. Now if I can figure out how to do the positions on LL with the O breath I'd be all set ;)! If you have any more questions let me know. Daisy-I'm not sure about the answer to your question either but I'll ask a friend of mine who is on WW and does O! and see what her opinion is. I would say it would be in the medium to high range just because of the amount of Oxygen you are putting into your body but that's just a guess. I'll post when I find out :D! Barbg-The facelift portion of the LL tape is awesome. I did it this weekend and you can really feel and see the difference. I like it because it's gentle and you aren't doing the breathing while you do it either. It's basically just pressing and pushing. Very interesting :D! I still perfer O for the breathing though. I think the O breath works better for me. I hope everyone else is managing to work in some heavy breathing ! Post when you can. ------------------ Rose |
Hi everyone. I got the TV/VCR that I wanted for Christmas for my birthday Friday, so now I don't have the excuse that I don't have room to O.
Rose I think I might have to get the LL tape for the facelift part. Since I just turned 54 and am Losing weight sagging skin is a concern. Hope everyone els are have a great O week. ------------------ Barbg 288/258/156 |
I DID IT!!! Yes! I did my O! last night and I feel great!!! Been awhile... but it went by really fast. Also, my PMS is over, so life can get back to normal until the next cycle...
Started a sticker calendar. I had talked about it awhile ago, and have finally gotten it started, where everytime I O! or drink 8 glasses of water, or eat a salad, or do a few other things, I get a sticker for that day... Have had fun with it so far... Hopefully it will help. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif Also have been doing situps lately - thanks to my new personal drill sargeant who has ordered me to do 25 every night - and boy do I feel it in my stomach! Why did people ever go to crunches??? Everybody - keep up the good work. Meme, I hope you feel better soon!!! It's been an awful long time with that cough! Barbg - hopefully you and I can keep each other on track from constantly going on and off this program, although I agree, it's easy to get back into. I think that's one of the benefits of the program, cause some you just never go back to because of the time it takes to re-learn everything. Rose - keep up the great work. I love reading "I did my O! this morning and I feel great!" Very motiviating!!! :D Well, back to work... Take care everybody! ------------------ Juliette 170/170/135 |
Good Morning all you Oers!
I had another great O workout this morning. I really love the L4. In fact I like every exercise on it. You know how some of the videos have a few exercises you don't like well this one I like all of them that's probably why I enjoy it so much. I ordered the Abs/Upper body video and I'll let you know how it is once I get it. Barbg-I think you'll like the facelit part of the LL. Like I said it doesn't require you to do the breath it's just accupressure :D! Let me know how you like it. Juliette-That's a great idea with the stickers :D! That will keep you going. It will be too sad to see a day without a bright little sticker on it ;)! Thanks for the complement. It's hard sometimes, like this morning, to get up and do it but I'm always so glad that I did once I'm through. It really is a great way to start your day. Keep it up Juliette. You motivate me too :)! Okay everybody else. I know you're out there. Susan R are you around? I know you are a busy lady. Check in when you can. Do you have the Abs/upper body video? If so do you like it. Meme, how are you doing? Check in please. Daisy, my friend told me that it counts for only about 1 point at most because it's so low impact. It wouldn't matter to me seeing that you get such good results when you do it. Maybe just add a little strength training and aerobics to your routine. I use O with my other exercises too and it just helps you to get quicker results. Okay I have to get to work. Take care everyone :D! ------------------ Rose [This message has been edited by ras8779 (edited 02-27-2001).] [This message has been edited by ras8779 (edited 02-27-2001).] |
Hi Rose! I'm still around--this is going to be short and sweet though because it's almost 1 a.m. here! :)
What a crazy few weeks it's been--I'm totally off my schedule with Oxycise! and hope to get back into my routine very soon. Have moved to a new office further from home and I'm now working for two investment advisors instead of one and it's our busiest season right now! AAAAAAHHHH!!! It's sweet of you to think of me--you're a real doll!!! Hope you are all doing well. I'm going off to bed now! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sleep.gif G'nite! Susan R. |
Hi all you Oers!
Susan R-Of course I think of you, you are our celebrity Oer! :) Wow you do have a hectic schedule. I don't know how you do it ! It was so nice of you to pop in and say hi. I always like to hear how you're doing. Hang in there and just do O! whenever you can. Thanks for posting. Okay I hope you won't be disappointed in me Juliette but I didn't do O! this morning because I had some other business to take care of and I was on a time crunch. :( I have to say I am missing it right now though. It does help with my energy level that's for sure. Well maybe I'll get some O! in tonight. It's just so much easier to do in the mornings though. I hope you all find some time to post today. Keep breathing. :D ------------------ Rose |
Hi Gang, I tried to get my DIL interested in O this weekend, but unfortunately it didn't work. Oh well maybe someday. You'd think seeing how much better I look would motivate her
I have my good days and bad days, but throught it all I try to get in at least a few O's. Saturday morning was my day to measure, but I forgot...;) I really don't know anything else, I just wanted to check in. How 'bout the new settup!! Neat huh |
Hi everyone!
Barbg-I'm surprised your DIL wasn't interested in doing O! Maybe later on she'll change her mind:D! I know I sure love doing it and it's really changed the way I feel and look. I got my abs/upper body video the other day and I love it! Some of the positions are definitely a challenge and for those I just modify them if they are too tough but I really like it:D! Did you order the Life Lift tape yet? The facial exercisers are really good. I think you'll like them. I missed two days of O and I was so mad. I just didn't feel like doing it but I got up and did my L2 this morning. I feel so much better now:D! I hope everyone is doing well. I hope you all can find the new board! I want to ask all of you to say a prayer for the parents and families of the students at Santana High School. This school was just too close to home. I live in San Diego and when I heard about the shooting I was so worried it was my Son's school. It wasn't but I can't imagine what the parents were going through and the students as well. It was way too close to home. Thank you everybody. |
No Rose, I haven't ordered it yet. Do you think it's worth the money? From what I've read it seems to be just like the oxycise breath but instead of the puff & whiffs you hold your breath. Is that right? Well, I guess I need to buy it anyway to get the facelift thing right?
I haven't actually done a O video in a few days, bu I have been doing my own routine in the water and in the car. So I'm still O'ing |
So Different!
They finally got the new set-up going! Pretty cool - although it's weird seeing everybody's information on the side panel. Thank goodness they didn't ask us for social security numbers - jk
Anyway, did my O! today. Realized that I'm going through my 1/3 life crises - where I'm almost 30 and wondering what's going on! If it were the 70's I'd be on my way to some commune smoking funny stuff while I tried to figure out the meaning of life. But instead I am a professional woman of the new millenium and I look for hope in the pages of the many self-help books that grace the shelves of Barnes & Noble (sigh). But, regardless, I really hope I am back on track with the exercising. I was reading the newsletter today about the couple who did it 7 days a week for a month, and if I could just DO THAT!!!! Talk to you all later! |
Hi Oers!
Yes this board sure is different and gives us more options but gives out more of our information. It amazes me at the number of posts I've made on these boards. A sure sign that I'm a "talker":). Barbg-I'm not sure it's worth getting the tape for just the facial exercises. You can always buy one of those facercise tapes for that for much cheaper. I would just do that plus I've noticed that doing O! really has firmed up my face and neck but especially that double chin of mine;)! I enjoy the O! breath so much more then the others. So I'm sticking with O! Juliette-I was so surprised when I tried to log in over the weekend and found that this site was down. Then when I came back it looks like this:eek:! I'm still getting used to all the new options and haven't figured them all out yet. I haven't read the newsletter yet. But I do believe that doing O! everyday is the key to great successes with using it. Hang in there. I haven't been real consistent this week doing my O! either. I did manage to get up and do my L2 and I feel so much better since I did. I know you can do it. But if you do miss a day don't worry about just do it the next day. The important thing is that you do it or just do the breath if you don't have time for the whole workout. Do you have the commuter tape? That helps me out allot if I don't have time to do a tape I can get some breathing in on my way to work:D! Okay everybody else please check in with us. We need to know how you all are doing! |
Hi Oers!
Where is everybody? It's pretty quiet in here! I'm so glad it's Friday:)! I don't have much to report except I'm doing great with O. I hope everyone else is and can find some time to post:)! It's getting lonely on here. Have a good Friday everybody. I'll check back later. |
Resident Slacker
Hey Rose!
I'm here. Haven't O!ed in two days though. AARRGGHH. Ok, in one day, actually... missed yesterday, but still have time today to get it in. My goal is to get up early in the mornings to do it. With the sun coming up earlier, it's helping! I got up early today, but chose to journal instead, so hopefully I'll be able to O! tonight! Hope you are doing well - of course you are - you are keeping up with the Oxycise! It is getting quiet in here though - this room used to be hopping! I wonder what happened... |
Hi Gang,
I'm still O'ng off & on. I've worked out a pretty good 15 minute about 30 position routine to do in the water. I like doing the O in the water. It seems to really work my abs with the water resistance. I can't seem to get into doing the videos here lately. I'm not sure why. I'm still playing with the new site. I'm adding you two to my buddy list. I'm not sure why or what that will do, but I thought I'd see. |
How do you like my mustang?
WOW my son just pulled a picture of my mustang from the computer he uses to do the company advertising to the website here for my "avistar" or whatever they call it. I think I could maybe get into this new site.
I did the commuter tape today while I was running my errands. I finally found a website that has lots of good info on waterexercising. I've been looking for one for quite a while now. I printed off some of their exercises, and combining them with my "O" water routine, I think I might start moving in the right direction again. |
I am thinking about starting the Oxycise, since my DH says that getting a treadmill is out of the question(at this time). I have done BF before, but it is hard for me to do it before I have a cup of coffee, or on an empty stomach. Does O require the same. I am also wondering if some of you O'ers would give some good reports of weight and inches you have lost doing this program. I am trying to get 40 pounds off by September, and wondering if it is possible. (i gave up sugar, so that is a start!) Thank you for any encouragement that you can give. Threads (sewing threads all over our house)
|
Hi Everyone!
Sorry I've been away but it was a busy weekend and today was equally as busy. I did however manage to work my O in:)! Threads-I hope you decide to do Oxycise! I love the program and although I haven't weighed myself in a while I've dropped two sizes since I started O! in earnest in December. I also have started another program just recently just because O has gotten me going on this exercise thing and I have more energy since I've been doing O!:) Many people have gotten great results without changing their diet or exercise program. If you go to www.oxycise.com you can read all the testimonials. Susan R sometimes posts here and she is one of the testimonials. She has gotten great results. Please join here. Barbg-Hey I like your car:)! I still haven't figured out all the options on this new board but it seems like it has allot of them. I think it's great that you've worked O into your water aerobics. It can only enhance your results. What a great idea. Keep up the great job Barbg! Juliette-It's so much easier now that I do O first thing in the morning. I usually do L2 because it's a little quicker then my L3 or L4 and I haven't mastered my abs/upper body video well enough yet to fit it in to my morning routine. I know you can do it. We're all here for you:)! Okay everyone I need to get back to work but if I get some time I'll check back tonight. Keep Oeing everyone and have a great night:)! |
I have the envelope all made out to order the "O" tapes tomorrow. I will send a money order, so it won't take so long. If you can do these excercises in the car, I am hopeing that I can do them while sitting at the sewing machine. (It seems like I sit most of the day because I am a seamstress). These last few weeks have been stressful for me because I found a lump in my throat. I am suppose to have a needle biopsy on the 19th.(any excuse to stay off a diet). In the meantime I will start the Bodyflex program. Thanks for welcoming me to this thread.

Evenin' Ya'll
Threads! I think you'll love the O! program. It definitely works... but there is one catch - you need to do it consistently! When I do it every day for a week, I usually lose an inch each week. It's a truly awesome thing to have happen! The PROBLEM for ME is that when I start losing, I tend to reward myself prematurely, gain the weight back (plus some) and then get frustrated. But I refuse to let that happen with this program. If I can lose an inch in a week, imagine what can be lost in two weeks, three weeks, etc!!!
It is a great thing to do if you are sitting down, regardless of whether you can do the body positions or not. The weeks that I noticed the greatest loss, were weeks when I would O! at my desk, in the car, in line somewhere, etc... Any breath is better than no breath at all! Barbg - I love your mustang! Don't see the picutre up there anymore, but it is such a cool car! I would love to own one- but I have this weird preference for 4-doors, so I shall continue to drive my Contour. Rose - Keep up the good work with the morning O! I think I'm just about to be able to start that. The temperature has been warmer and the sun is coming up earlier which is helping me get out of bed. Not last night though - had a horrible nightmare. It was "day residue" from watching the Keanu Reeves movie "The Watcher" Sunday night. Not that scary of a movie, but for some reason, it gave me awful dreams! Well, I'm off traveling until Thursday. Won't be on till then - but I will try to O! in the hotel again! What fuN! |
Good Morning Oers!
I had an awesome moring workout. I did L2 again this morning and it felt great! I can feel the difference in my clothes. Everything just fits better:)! Juliette-Doing O in the morning is the best thing I've ever done. It really does help me get going and then I won't have any excuses to not do it later on. I agree you have to be consistent with O or it won't work. I also think that doing O sitting down is great and I use the commuter tape allot. Keep Oeing Juliette you are getting awesome results:)! Threads-I'm glad you've decided to order O as well. I know you'll end up loving it. It really does make you feel so much better and yes you can do it while you are sewing. That's a great idea:)! The more breaths you do the better the results. Keep us posted. Oh and you might want to email Julie at [email protected] and ask her for her breathing tips. These really helped me a bunch. How is everyone else doing? I looked in the mirror today and actually could see my waist getting smaller. I still need allot of work on my lower abs but at least I can see some results. It made me very happy:D! Keep oeing everyone and check in when you can. I just noticed we are on page two so I started a new thread. #23. We are really rolling! |
Well I got my order sent off today. It will probably be 2 weeks or more before I get the tapes. I HAVE to start the Bodyflex till then or I won't be able to wear the dress I got for Easter. Do you gals watch what you eat to get the results you are getting? (now that is a messed up sentence)Since quiting sugar I should be having the weight fall off. Unforutually(sp) that is not the case. I went to the doctor today because I am having trouble with my hormones. She said the best weight loss program she knows of is Weight Watchers. I have tried every fad diet there is. Excercising has never been one of my favorite things to do but I will do the "O" as it only takes 15 minutes. Who knows, maybe in the Spring I will do them out on our deck. We live almost at the foothills of the mountian, so the oxygen ought to be pretty pure. Send me a kick in the hinny if I don't do the Bodyflex tomorrow. I will be honest and let you know. Hold me accountable,,please. I need support! I dont know how to post my currant weight and goal weight. (but I weighed 173 today and goal is 135.) I am only 5"1 1/2". Have a great evening.
