Default I have a question

So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a obtainable number of inches from one area could be lost in 45 days?

I was talking with a friend of mine and I said i wanted to loose 5-10 inches and she said I could do that "easily" in 45 days. I don't know that I agree with her and I thought who better to ask then the ppl here?

Also, I am not sure if this is the correct place to put this question so if its not please feel free to move it for me. Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, and want to stress that I am no expert, this is EXTREMELY UNREALISTIC. You would have to work out day and night to lose that amount in 45 days. When I started my weight loss/exercise journey on Feb 1, 2008 I was 46-42-46. On April 30th, I was 44-39-44.
Granted, I am sure I am sure I could have lost more if I exercise more/ate less, but I am 48 and I feel I am doing as much as I can handle.

I hope I am interpreting your question correctly - you said "from one area" - so I assume you don't mean a total # of combined inches lost (ie. bust-waist-hips).

Also, don't forget that you may not lose a number of inches from your waist even if that's where you want to lose them. Some women lose inches at bust first, some lose there only after a big general weight loss. You body will decide where the weight is coming from.

Gee, I haven't lost 10 inches off any one area of my body by losing 77 lbs. (which has taken over 10 months to do).
I don't think losing 5 inches off ANY one area of your body can be done in 45 days, unless you were extremely obese, and I mean extremely.

At least if we are talking a true loss (not any of those temporary tricks we have all read so much about). Even my Spanx wouldn't give me a 5 inch difference

Many people that say they lost 10 inches in a month mean that they lost a total of 10 inches. They measure many areas of their body and add up all the numbers to get to that 10 inches.

See that is what i thought. I didn't think it was accurate at all so like i said who better to ask then this place! She is one of those "eat an entire container of ice cream, six cheeseburgers, fries, and chicken nuggets and still lose weight" kinda chicks, so yeah maybe for her it would be "easy". I don't need to drop that many inches either ladies, that number is actually half that. When she measured me she didn't do it correctly and I did it again myself last night and got completely different numbers. I don't think I can drop all the inches I want to but I know good and darn well imma try!
Thanks people!
