Well CAT keep it going by joining the 3FC 5K under Angie Leaves EZMONEY in the Weight Loss Support Forum!

We had our 5K today ~ I posted a couple of pictures in the C-N Nothing But Butt thread in the weight Loss Support forum.

I walked/ran a 33:44 and Angie had a 31:08....dang...took me again!

Counting a 1.5 mile walk we did with the mutts at the race expo yesterday afternoon, our race today and my warm-up and cool down...OK...no cool down....I did that in the beer garden...can't count that! ;)

I just happened to stumble across this thread... I'm just starting on the whole walking bit. Now that the weather is nicer I'm attempting to get outside. My Goal for this first month is a mile a day. I'm finding excuses to go and walk - like today I'm walking to go pick up DD from school - which is a little over 1.5 miles. With the warm weather it's great to go and walk while DD rides her bike.

On not so nice days (It's Michigan - it could snow at any moment!) - I have the "Walk Away Your Waistline" DVD and that has markers at 1, 2 & 3 miles. So that's the plan! WALK AWAY THE WAISTLINE! I don't have a weight goal - I have a size & body fat goal.. and right now I'm about 1/2 way.

I added 50 min of Turbo Jam punch, jump and kick today plus, a 30 min easy yoga dvd. I had a great Sun even if no exercise. I hope you all did too.

Since my training is all walking and I decided to "run"....stop laughing ENNAY....in yesterday's 5K at 33:41...instead of my usual 15 minute mile walk pace...well...I am a little sore.

Taking the day off of walking!

2 Mile WATP dvd this morning. I tried doing my 3 mile evening walk on the track, but I don't feel well today. :(

I forgot to say welcome to you Enygirl! Having a strategy is really helpful. Keep up the good work.

Amanda, Sorry you're not feeling well. My DD called and had to come home from school today. Her throat and head hurt and she's running a temp. That darn virus has really been making it's rounds here lately. Hope you feel better soon.

Oh man, I wanted to get into other exercising besides my walking. That's why I opted for minutes this month instead of miles. I thought that would give me the freedom to do other things. Ugh, somone should have reminded me to only jump in with one foot to start! I have something that's sore in every region of my bod! So, today I took a nice long walk to the library. 6.25 miles round trip and it was wonderful!!!

Hey all,
I haven't posted in awhile but, we are busy busy busy! We finallly had the patch test placed yesterday to tell us if hubby is allergic to metals. We are keeping our fingers crossed for no allergies. He will be giving blood this week in preperation for his first surgery May1. (left hip replacement) then...
May 22nd...(right hip replacement)
The adoption is going well, it's a waiting game, a true test of patience.

Running totals...
31/100...
