March 2008 Walk/Run Challenge
Well it is time again to pledge your goal. Join in if you haven't keep going if you you have already been here!
I am going for 75 again this month, I was just shy of 60 last month BUT I can do better! :) |
I havent made out my training plan yet, so I will put down 135 again. MTA - changing this to 120 for ski trip
Going out for my first run of the month in just a bit...hungover like ****. |
I'm new at this, just started week 4 of C25K so I will start with 40 Miles

8.2/120 0/5 stroller Oh wait....I forgot I am going on a ski trip for a whole week and wont be running....going to change my target to 120 |
I'm setting my target for 50 miles this month. I'm going to try to add some weights & swimming this month, so I'm going above Feb's goal, but less than what I actually did in Feb.

I am new to these boards, but up to the challenge!
I am going to set a goal of running 35miles. So far so good, I did 2 miles this morning...and took a 1 mile family walk after dinner.---That was a bonus! 2/40 Good luck to everyone! |

I'm setting my bar high with 76 miles and 10 / 20 min strength or stretch sessions. I've got an extremely busy Holy Week so I'm only planning 8 miles for that week, but hoping the weather will get nice so I can hit it hard the last week of the month. I've done no walking so far. Two of my children competed in a regional math competition this weekend that is hosted by the Knights of Columbus. While travelling I did swim a lot. One session I did laps for 15 min straight. I haven't swum laps in like 4 yrs so I was pleased with my endurance. Legs and arms are sore, but a good sore. DS took second at regionals and continues to state in April. DD took 4th. Good score, but you have to be 1st or 2nd to continue. I'm very proud! Have a great Sunday! |

Lovn, congrats to the Wee ones, My son too competes math team and he loves it. 2 miles on the eliptical this morning and I am headed out for a 5 mile hike in a little bit so i will add 7 for today. I think March is going to be MUCH better than February for me :) 12/75 |

I am going to stick to my goal of 75 miles again this month. I will be working out of town quite a bit this month too. I will be starting a new job tomorrow so I hope the hotel is in a good walking area or has a gym, not sure yet where we are staying.
Angie and I went to church last night and will be going later this afternoon for a "party" for our new building kick-off, so we took the dogs on a Starbucks walk this morning and did a loop through :bunny2: bunny poo :bunny: park. GOOD LUCK :luck2you: this month ladies! 4/75 miles |

I am done for today 2 mile run plus warmup/down 6/35 Rest day tomorrow. Will probably do some bike riding (weather permitting). Good luck to all!! |

Can anyone join in this challenge? I'd like to finish a lazyman triathalon this month. 2.4 mi swim, 112 mi bike ride, and a 26 mi run. They do this at my YMCA, you have a month to finish the full triathalon amount. Not really that hard if your work out 4 times a week. Except I'll skip the bike part. My back can't handle the biking. I havn't worked out for weeks, I need to get back on track.

Minuet, Welcome along. I can't tell you why I90W goes North, but i I can tell you that if I'm in Madison I90W takes me home, but if I'm in LaCrosse I90E takes me home ;) Bet you're thinking, "cripes, she must live in the middle of nowhere!" and you'd be right.

Right, update time. I've been away for a few days, and managed one more run in February to take me to 168.6/135
This month so far I ran yesterday and this evening, about 7.3 miles each time, to take me to 14.6/135 |

3 on the TM and 20 minutes of yoga. I don't know how long it will last, but I'm enjoying the TM right now. I'll ride the high as long as it lasts. Whether it's 1 more day or 1 more month.

happy with myself today, it rained all morning so I hopped on the eliptical for 3, then the sun came out I got a call from a dog walking friend and we went out and did 3 with the dogs. Dixie came home and went right into the shower as we now are very muddy here! 23/75 |

I ran 1.5miles today. It was too hot outside (I don't expect sympathy from all of you experiencing winter) to do any more. I need to figure out how to get an evening run in on days that I work. Problem is that we have an early dinner and I don't enjoy running on a full stomach. Oh well, gotta figure something out...
