got in 4.55 on TM at gym....
23.8/75 Laura (or anyone!) - when you race, do you find you run alot faster than your pace on the TM, or the same? I am so terrified of racing and sucking at it bc I get nervous, lol!!! |
3.75 miles 3 of which were running. Let me go die of shock now!
13.50/40 |
4.5 miles on the TM today
24/45 |
Ceegee...I personally run faster on the road (races) and I love that my time always suprises me when I finish. Just go run and don't forget to enjoy it. When it comes to running races..they are so much fun, you'll love it, I promise!!! ;)
L144S...I'm terrified to have the surgery done, but I know that I will be fine when all is said and done....still I'm scared  Not sure if I mentioned this before but, we finally got final word on hubby's hips, not good! He's 36 and is diagnosed with DJD (degeneritve joint disease) and requires bilateral hip replacement...he is not a happy camper! He has decided to join me in Hyannis and will watch me run/walk (surgery) to the finish line. :val1: He is my biggest supporter, I couldn't ask for a better husband. I on the other hand, have reassured him that I am behind him 100% good, bad, or indifferent in this marriage; he is truly my best friend. :val2: |
1.5 on the treadmill last night, 1 on the treadmill this morning.
36.4/90 Ceegee, it kind of depends on how you do the treadmill. I hate running on the treadmill, so I do it in very short bits - usually a mile or two. My races/runs outside are usually much longer than that, so when I'm on the treadmill I always try to pick up the pace. It's a lot easier to shoot for a sprint when you know you only have to do it for a few minutes! Plus I don't have a Garmin, so I never know my pace outside until I get home and map it out and clock it. On the treadmill, I know my pace exactly, so I always try to crank it up. |
Way to go cakeses!!!
liligurl, My husband had Lasik a number of years ago. I was allowed to be in the room and watch. It's a very interesting procedure. He was like a little kid on the way home. "I can read thaaaaat now!" very exciting, but his eyes did get very dry and painful and we had to pull over and do eyedrops a number of times. The hospital was an hour away. By the time we reached home though he had no more discomfort and still swears it's the best $4,000 he's ever spent.....Give your hubby a hug and surgery is definitely a good reason to walk rather than run. I did 5 yesterday. Road conditions were the worst I'd faced all year. I was sure I would go down, but I didn't. My time was slower than normal, but it's all in a days walk. 33 of 72 2 of 7 strength training = gotta get going on these!!! |
8.13
64.1/135 |
1 quick one on the TM to warm up the muscles then 20 min of yoga and 20 min of pilates. Yeah, I'm actually doing my strength training!!!!! Yes, that is a little pride slipping through. Truthfully though, thanks for being here. Back in Oct And then every month after I've tried to add strength training back into my week. Until I committed to it here at 3FC though I'd always let it slip. You're all so nice and not pushy, but you still have a way of keeping me accountable!!!
34 of 72 miles 4 of 7 strength training |
Laura and Liligurl - thanks, I need as much info as I can get so I don't freak, lol!
